I just bought a auvio expanding bluetooth speaker when i turned it on the first time I did not get any lights!I tried charging it for three hrs. did not change anything!Any ideas I live 200mi from radioshack they were no help.

At $30 it is pretty much a disposable item. It is a shame, because the reviews are good. See is you can find a local electronics hobbyist to look at it.

Try doing default factory settings.
Step 1. Press the "Power" button located on the top center part of your JBL Charge 4 Bluetooth speaker. The speaker will be powered on when the LED backlight under the Power button is lit.
Step 2. Hold down the "Bluetooth" and "Volume Up" buttons at the same time for roughly three seconds. The Volume Up button looks like a plus sign. Additionally, it's important to hold down the "Bluetooth" button in the center of the device next to the Power button, as it's easier to hold down. After three seconds, the LED ring around the Power and Bluetooth buttons will briefly light up before the JBL Charge 4 powers down.
Step 3. Press the "Power" button again to turn the JBL Charge 4 Bluetooth speaker back on. The Charge 4 will instantly turn on in Discovery mode, with the Bluetooth LED blinking on and off, and the speaker making a pinging sound. This confirms that you've successfully reset your JBL Charge 4 to its default factory settings. You'll need to pair or re-pair any devices you want to play audio through the JBL Charge 4 speakers with the device.

The poorly written manual says to hold the Play/Power button for five seconds at which time you will get the blue light, Then hold the Play button again for three seconds to enter the bluetooth pairing mode at which time you will see the alternating red & blue flashing light. Ignore all of that and just hold the Play/Power button for however long it takes to start the red and blue flashing sequence. That means the headset has entered the bluetooth pairing mode. Then make sure whatever device you are trying to pair has its bluetooth pairing mode activated and you will eventually see Auvio BTCHP on your device's pairing window. Select it and you should then be paired.

• Make sure Bluetooth is enable on all the devices your want to use.

• Remove this device and any other devices that are not currently in use. (I am assuming you are using a cellphone or tablet)

• You can either put both devices in "Discovery Mode" let them see each other and Pair them again. Or

• If they already "see" one another .Re-Pair them.

• If they do not generate their own code, try enter "0000" and

• As far as the device that randomly stop playing, it might the battery is being overcharged. Put it On let, it play or in use until the battery has run out of juice; then charge it fully and see what happens. If the battery charge too quickly, you might need another one or take it in for service. In case of the Auvio speaker, take it back to Radio Shack if that is where you bought it.

My Bluetooth speaker's light for the Bluetooth (middle light) blinks rapidly, alternating blue and red. Any ideas?

How can I pair an auvio pbt500 speaker to my pc?

To Pair:
1. Turn on your Bluetooth speaker/headphones (slide switch to BT)
2. Light should turn on Blue. If not, plug speaker into USB connector and light will turn Red to indicate it's charging.
3. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on your PC or Phone. Select device name: CMA3532BT.
4. Enter pairing code (passcode): 0000 or you can try: 1234
