Gas in carb bowl but not getting to jets. Pulled carb apart float/needle are functioning as normal. Mower will start with starting fluid. This mower has solenoid on bottom of bowl, I unplugged it and the mower still wouldn't start. Any ideas
Also, getting good spark through plug, fuse looks good, replaced relay, pulled flywheel key is good, replaced fuel and filter, fuel pump is working as normal, 19hp Kohler Courage Engine on 2006 LT1042 Cub Cadet. Also, getting good spark through plug, fuse looks good, replaced relay, pulled flywheel key is good, replaced fuel and filter, fuel pump is working as normal, 19hp Kohler Courage Engine on 2006 LT1042 Cub Cadet.

The solniod on the bottom of bowl closes with no power so when you turn the unit off the plunger extends cutting fuel off. So by unplugging it the plunger is still entended cutting off fuel. I think you may need a new solenoid on bowl. You can also bench test the solenoid with a battery to double check.
You are on the right track with the electronic solenoid for the needle valve. You can unplug it and unscrew the solenoid to examine it closely. Sometimes a very small piece of trash or grain of sand will get in with the delicate spring on the needle valve and it will become stuck. You can shake it and gently tap it and sometimes dislodge the trash or debris and it will then work again.
I have had the experience over the past 50-years with these lawn mowers and generally, about every two or three years I have to replace the solenoid needle valve because it becomes so heavily clogged up with fine granules and dirt. It's a common problem and most small engine repair shops carry this part and the part is pretty much universal regardless of the machine it goes on. Also, Walmart stores carry this solenoid as a replacement part.

get rebuild kit - air is higher pressure then a gravity fed fuel also turning upside down and back only shows that it moves --rebuild and also soak carb base or replace
sound like it not getting gas remove the float bowl cover from carb and see if it is dirty if it you will need a carb rebiuld kit for that motor and carb cleaner if you want to try cheap way remove the jet out of clean it reel good blow air through the carb passage ways and replace the needle and seat valve that lets the gas in
Pinch off or turn off fuel line to carb. Remove carb from engine. Remove carb bottom bowl. Observe screw that holds bowl to carb if it has a whole thru it clean it out with a bread wrapper twist after you peal back about an inch of wire. Remove float and needle, use same wire to clean out port. Use same wire to clean out center fuel pick up port in center of carb. Ensure upon reassembly the float is free to move. Float up no fuel flow, float down fuel flow.
the needle has to fall down and follow the float movement
if it doesn't it is stuck on the seat and may need replacing as it has a small rubber section that may damage when pulled down
hi remove the bowl again and get the centre jet out and lok very closely use a jewlers eye piece you wll find a passage that is plugged on the side of the jet look around it you ll see some sign of a hole that is not clear through its pretty small use a welders torch cleanng tool with various size rods use very thin one dont make the hole bigger
when this happens, the engine only runs long enough to consume the gas you manually put into the carb. The engine dies because the main jet of the carb is plugged or there is water in the fuel system. repair by dumping old fuel from tank, then remove float bowl on carb. this will drain remaining fuel in carb and give you acess to the main jet as well. Main jet will be located in the protruding part of the carb that sets as the lowest part in the float bowl. locate the jet either on the side of this protruding area or set into the bottom of the protruding area. use a thin wire like a guitar string to run thru the small hole in the center of the jet. then squirt a little wd-40 thru the hole and check visually to make sure the jet is clear. there also could be a problem with the float or needle valve that allows fuel to enter the carb and regulate the fuel level in the float bowl part of the carb. check this by letting the float drop while bowl is removed and gas should trickle down from the needle valve, if it does, then hold the float to the top of its travel but do not force it beyond the stop. fuel should now stop trickling from the needle valve. if it does not stop, then you probably have a little debris clogging the needle valve preventing it from closing completely. this usually causes a flooding condition. By your description, this is not the problem as your mower slound as it is starving for fuel. if no gas flow from needle valve while float is at the bottom of its travel, then you may have a clog in the fuel line, filter or in the tank where the fuel line connects to it. remove fuel line from carb and fuel should flow freely from this hose. if not, check for clog in the fuel line-fuel filter system. hope this helps! oh y, the last steps require a little fresh gas in the tank!
Remove carb float bowl. Clean bowl. Observe float bowl screw, look for hole thru bolt, if present use thin wire to clean out. Float should be hanging freely and gas should be flowing, raise float gas should stop. Pinch off gas line or use shut off valve. Remove pin from float, remove float and needle meter. Use thin wire to clean out passage were meter needle is inserted, wire should pass thru to behind choke. Replace float & meter needle. Replace float bowl. Pull rope half way several times. Inspect primer bulb for cracks or leak. Try to start, may take 5 or more pulls to prime.
The fuel bowl has a float and needle, the bowl is filled with gas and over time the float gets filled with gas or just don't float as it should within the bowl. the needle is pulled up by the float which lets fuel flow into the carb. A repair kit can be bought for $5 and is easily replaced. After you take this apart, it's a good idea to clean the carb with a carb cleaner. You'll have to take off quiet a bit which looks difficult but it's really not.
Had this problem after I inherited the same mower. Take the carb off and remove the "bowl" using the bolt at the bottom. You will see a plastic float and a needle valve. Remove the float by puling the the pin and clean the needle vale and ensure it moves freely. Also clean the "jet" that holds the float washer to the carb assembly. Also clean the bolt that hold the bowl on.
Sounds like there may be trash in the carb. when the gas bowl is full it runs until the gas runs out then it dies. Take the breather off get it started and then put you hand over the intake on the carb. sometimes this will allow the trash to be sucked on through do this several times take your hand off before the motor shuts down and then do it again until you clear it up. If this does not fix the problem you can take the bowl off the carb an see if it is getting fuel with the float hanging down this opens up the needle valve to let gas fill the bowl. there should be a steady stream of gas coming out. when the bowl fills up the float floats up and closes the needle valve. If there is not a steady stream of fuel coming out with the float hanging down with the bowl off you may have to remove the float and needle valve and clean out the needle valve jet with something like a sewing needle. If you are getting gas steady and fire to the plug it should run.
