I bought the inverter and microwave together about 3months ago. They both worked perfectly fine till I bought a fridge to hook up to the iverter. I would keep the fridge plugged in but kept microwave unplupped unless I needed it but If I plugged in Microwave I would definatly unplug fridge. Well when I plugged in fridge into iverter It worked for about a week no problems. All 3 still work as of today but sometimes when the fridge kicks on it will start beeping like its being overloaded. It isnt a loud beep just a low steady but not constant beep. Its unlike the loud overloaded beep thatsometimes you will here if the truck is shut off. Also I noticed when I cook in microwave it will act like its loosing power when cooking here lately. I dunno if it has anything to do with it but when I turn inverter on it will show a red fault light but usualy after less than a minute it will disapear but red fault light has always did it since I bought the thing. Usualy when I shut it off for a minute and let it settle down it helps the problem.
Thanks for any help.
SOURCE: microwave stopped working completely
Fan turned on after cooking because a thermostat got to hot and tripped turning on the fan to try to cool the unit. The unit went completely dead when thermal fuse tripped which is located above the cavity on the left side.

Replace the fuse with a ceramic fuse from Home depot! costs less than $3 and it will fix the problem. I had all the same problems as everyone else, you name it my microwave had it! you must remember replace it with a ceramic fuse! not a glass one. I know people say its the switchboard and all that nonsence but I promise you, the fuse plays a majoe roll in the microwave not working properly. Even though it doesnt look broken, a junky fuse can cause your appliance to do very strange things. I replaced mine 6 months ago and it works like its fresh out of the box.

I have the same problem with my microwave, the clock disappears and it says "enter" and "amt", I figured out it's the "beverage" button that is sticking. When I want to use it I just press "beverage" and then "reset" and just press them over and over until it stops. Usually it's on the first try, sometimes I have to press them a few times. Just don't do what I'm about to type though, I decided to get my razor knife and cut the button out carefully, I only cut the contacts on each side of the button, now no buttons work, I should have left it the way it was, at least I could use it that way.

Never run the microwave without a load (something to heat)!!! That kills the microwave generating parts.
Sounds like a 'thermal' protect switch is activating after running. Make sure that (if the unit is mounted in a cabinet) that there is sufficient space around the unit for proper air flow and that nothing is blocking the vents. Try setting it on a counter top and heat something. If it works properly and doesn't shut off, the venting space is the problem. You may have to have the cabinet that it sits in redesigned for more clearance.

sounds like the cooling fan has came adrift or stopped working , this will cause the magnatron ( the microwave generator ) to overheat tripping the over temperature stat ,so fix the cooling , but be sooooooooooooo carefull in there , microwaves + really high voltages , not really a job for a non electrician/microwave tech
