Last week, after mowing my yard, I wanted to remove all of the built-up grass from underneath the mower deck. First, I turned the mower on its side with the air filter facing down! Then, after awhile, I turned it completely upside down!!
I removed all of the grass from underneath the deck, but when I returned the mower to its upright position, oil leaked out onto the top of the deck.
This week, the mower will not start. What do I need to do in order for my mower to start?
Next time keep the carburetor up...tipping it down will allow oil to go where it's not supposed to. For now drain out the remaining oil, replace the air cleaner and remove the spark plug. When the plug is out pull the engine over a few times. It's possible that there is oil in the cylinder and this will help clear it out. Replace with a new plug and try. If this doesn't work, repost.
