Either the inlet valve is stuck or the icemaker solenoid is shored.

Most likely the second one.

TW36FI Will not fill

Hi Raymond
Is there power to the appliance?? Do you see any lights?
If the machine is "on" there are a number of possibilities that could stop the machine filling up.
-Have you checked that the water inlet filter is clean?
(Particularly in hard water areas)
- Is there enough water pressure going in?
- Does the machine remains quiet for the time it should be filling then continues to 'wash' as normal but without water or it just stops?
-Disconnet the washing machine from the mains
-Open the machine
-Follow the water inlet hose and the first selenoid you come accross would be the inlet valve (s) assembly
-Check the water inlet valve coil for continuity, it should read several ohms resistance.
If it reads o ohms (short) or it is open circuit no reading at all (blown) the selenoid is faulty and will need to be replaced.
If you have some resistance (1K to 3K ohms) coil is ok
To ensure there is power to the coils, ensure the connecting cable is firmly attached at both ends, at the selenoid end and the controller board end.
-Disconnect the selenoid end and attach an Voltimeter to the wire connector, plug the machine to the mains WITH CARE!! and start a wash cycle. You should get some voltage. If you get nothing for the first few minutes of the cycle, then your controller is faulty and may need repairing / replacing.
Hope this helps and it is only a faulty water inlet valve.

Frigidaire gallery front load washer does not use cold water when cold cycle is selected.

Either the cold water valve selenoid is not working or the control panal is bad. try swapping the hot and cold hoses and then call for hot water, if it fill with cold then the cold water valve is probably bad.

Dont pull the water selenoide good fus gud

Hi from retired Englishman in SW France,
This is symptomatic of a malfunctioning water control valve- the hot water one, if the washer is hot and cold fill, and the cold one if it is just cold fill!
Sorry but it needs replacing and a service call to confirm that it is not something else ;-0(
Good luck,
John C

2 problems

Sounds like the selenoid valves are backwards. Or the water hooked up backwards. Or actually like the cold water one isnt working at all. Either the selenoid or the screen stopped up. Even on cold water i noticed that some washers use warm. But all of them uses cold water to rinse. At least the last rinse. So when it uses cold water there isnt any. First of all, Switch the two wires with each other and wash on hot and see if cold works then. If not Take the selenoid out and apart then clean the diaphram real good with soap and water then pup back together.

Icemaker not getting water to it

check if the water is on, solenoid may be stuck or burned, may have jumped a thread(wire), the control of ice machine not activatinging the solenoid. if you have (and know to work whit it) a meter check if you have 220V (or 110V if you are in USA) or put a bulb whit soket instead the selenoid and turn on the icemaker, if the bulb wil light you must change the selenoid. or more simple, call a repair man, is more wise for a man who didn't know to work whit energy.

My kenmore refrigerator 106.56166500 quit dispensing water. Icemaker works fine. I disconnected the water line at the bottom of the front door via the quick disconnect and I get water from the supply side...

The line inside the freezer door is frozen . Turn the temp in the freezer , to warmer for a few days , and it should thaw . A dispensor heater is available , pt # WR49X10173 . Instructions come with the part .

Front load washer fills up with water

Jamesbestor,

The water fill selenoid had junk in it holding the valve open or the seat in the valve is damaged.
Turn off the power and water, remove two screws on the back of the machine and remove the lid.
On the back left top corner are the water fill selenoids. Remove these and disassemble by undoing the 6 or 8 screws ( depending upon model ) holding the unit together. Clean and reassemble, it should take care of the problem. If not, replace the selenoid.

Water supply to selenoid is OK, but no water from selenoid to uni

Try to clear the small pinhole in the fitting leading into the selenoid. Sometimes this gets blocked with dirt or sand.
