TW36FI Will not fill
Hi Raymond
Is there power to the appliance?? Do you see any lights?
If the machine is "on" there are a number of possibilities that could stop the machine filling up.
-Have you checked that the water inlet filter is clean?
(Particularly in hard water areas)
- Is there enough water pressure going in?
- Does the machine remains quiet for the time it should be filling then continues to 'wash' as normal but without water or it just stops?
-Disconnet the washing machine from the mains
-Open the machine
-Follow the water inlet hose and the first selenoid you come accross would be the inlet valve (s) assembly
-Check the water inlet valve coil for continuity, it should read several ohms resistance.
If it reads o ohms (short) or it is open circuit no reading at all (blown) the selenoid is faulty and will need to be replaced.
If you have some resistance (1K to 3K ohms) coil is ok
To ensure there is power to the coils, ensure the connecting cable is firmly attached at both ends, at the selenoid end and the controller board end.
-Disconnect the selenoid end and attach an Voltimeter to the wire connector, plug the machine to the mains WITH CARE!! and start a wash cycle. You should get some voltage. If you get nothing for the first few minutes of the cycle, then your controller is faulty and may need repairing / replacing.
Hope this helps and it is only a faulty water inlet valve.
