Re: Flymo Roller Compact Heigh lever keeps dropping
I drilled a hole through the lever, and used a self tapping screw to fix it permantly in position. I cannot adjust the height without drilling another hole, but it is better than buying a new machine.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
Is the adjuster broken or wore out so it won't hold where it is suppose too be. Some times you just need to tighten the bolts that holds them on. You may have to replace the adjuster as well.
Dropping the Feed Dog
The feed dog can be lowered with the drop-feed lever for sewing on buttons etc.
Shift the drop-feed lever to the right to lower the feed dog.
Shift the lever to the left to raise the feed dog, it will return to the up position when the machine is started.
NOTE:The feed dog should be in the up position for regular sewing. Turn the handwheel toward you to check if the feed dog comes up after setting the lever in the up position
You can put spacers under the blade, a twin pack of spacers are available from Flymo part no. 513811081., from memory you are allowed to fit three spacers.
1 Locate the height adjustment lever on the inside of the left rear wheel. 2 Kneel next to the mower and push the left height adjustment lever toward the center of the mower. 3Rotate the lever toward the front of the mower to lower the height of cut, or toward the rear of the mower to raise the height of cut.
4 Release the lever over the locking pin closest to the desired height of cut.
5 Repeat these steps with the adjustment lever on the right-side rear wheel. Be sure to set the right wheel lever to the same position as the left-side wheel's lever for an even cut.
Raise the presser foot lever, and then slide the drop feed lever. Set the lever in the position for normal sewing. The feed dogs can not be raised only by sliding the drop feed lever to . Turn the handwheel toward you (counterclockwise), or press the "Needle Position" button once or twice.
