These older models are hard to find when you need them. The only place I've found them was on Ebay, and I see there is one currently for sale (new in box). Here is a link if you decide to go that route.
I've never heard of the "Nil" part, but the best place to find these older model appliances is on Ebay. I typically hate buying on Ebay, but these older model electric knives are no longer made and hard to come by elsewhere.

The battery is rechargable for about 400x. If you leave it on the charger too long or never let the battery run down it will shorten its life span. Sonic Impact no longer sells the replacement battery unit through their website and I have been looking for replacements myself. the problem is this: the battery unit is integrated with the battery cover and can not be separated. So you need the actual Sonic Impact battery, and they have not responded to any emails, requests for customer support or phone calls. Good luck.
