Loose paint is stuck in my Hoover 5753-900. Now it won't turn on

I was trying to pick up loose paint I had stripped off the walls. My Hoover 5753-900 Windtunnel stopped working after about 2 minutes. I think the loose paint is stuck in the vacuum. I cleaned out the filters, but I think the problem is somewhere else. I need help

Take the bottom plate off where you would install a new belt. the impeller is clogged up. use a wire to poke out the clogs. you can use a shop vac to **** out the debris. check your belt for wear spots while your at it. you may need a new one . befor removing the belt. make sure you notice in what direction it is installed. If you put it on backwards you brush will turn in the wrong direction, not good. draw a picture if need be. Ok good luck DFD

Hoover Wind Tunnel Bagless cord prong loose, Vacuum shutting off. Do we have to scrap the vacuum?

Home Depot has cord plugs. Cut off your plug, strip apart the three wires, black, white, green. The new plug will have a green screw for the green ground; a silver screw for the white neutral wire and a brass or gold screw for the black or hot wire.
Connect those wires, ensure that none are touching the others, plug it in and turn it on.
Good Luck,
Gary

Does not pick up loose lint or fuzz from carpet.

Sounds like the belt is loose or it's not on at all. Make sure the belt is wrapped around the brush and is locked in by the metal.

Hoover FloorMate won't pick water up

Check for the filter in place and it also requires a filter lid for proper suction or it will not work

Hoover wiring

hello lukeplayer,
Based on your description, ( first disconnect the plug from the wall recptacle). You will need to open up the Hoover Vacuum Body to gaion access to the internal wiring. In order to better assist you, please provide me with the specific hoover model. In general though, you will need to see where inside the Hoover that wire became detached and then rerun it. Since your cord is already broken, you may be able to strip back more of the outer cord insulation to expose the internal conductors and then route, cut to fit and reinstall them. Hope that helps.. If not, send model details,,,
Regards,
Rick

Loss of suction in my Hoover Windtunnel bagless selfpropelled upright

Did you check the dirt inlet by the brush roll, filters ok, they should be replaced once a year. Belts can look fine, but if they are a few months old, I am sure they have stretched and the brush roll will not turn like it should under load. It is possible that the motor isn't running up to speed, thereby reducing suction.

Hoover Hush Series Central Vac won't turn on

If the low voltage wires are hooked up to it, then you probably have a stuck relay inside the cannister. It could also be the switch in the hose handle.
