Downloaded explorer 8, now cant open anything at all. just says isass.exe system error, security accounts manager initalization failed because of the following error. The handle is invalid. error status:...

Well then... you should restart your machine and press F8 (on your keyboard) continuously until prompted with a menu.

Select the option "last known good configuration"... that should bring your machine back to how it was before IE screwed it up.

Hope this helps!?

Turn off problem

If you have (L)lsass.exe, that is a windows executable file, if you have Isass orisass.exe, then you have a trojan, run your antispyware and antivirus programme using safe mode (press F8 on boot up) to enter safe mode. Also you must turn off system restore before you run the virus removal, then turn it back on again.
