Air Switch Repair
It sounds like you have a bad air switch located in your motor.
The air switch is what the air hose connects to on the back of the motor or on the box on top of the motor. The other end of the air hose is connected to the air button on the lip of the tub.
This is a latching air switch and when you push the air button it latches to send power to the motor. When the air button is pushed again it opens the latch in the air switch and stops power going to the motor shutting it off.
My jetted tub will not work, and it used to work just fine. Nothing happens when i push the button to turn it on. Could this be a switch problem? Also do not hear the motor doing anything when button is pushed. Dou you think I just need to get a new pump??
Sorry, didn't realize I would need to pay money for the answer. I will deal with Pearl bath on my own. Thanks for the help, please remove my email from your mailing list.
check 2 things......1) see that the power is connected and that the breaker is on.......2) if everything from 1 is a yes check the hose that runs from the switch to the motor it may be lose, disconnected or has a hole in it. If you have anymore questions just ask. I am a professional plumber for over 25 years
Yes. They are every bit as safe as your standard bathtub or shower. Unlike outdoor spas or hot tubs (which are similar to swimming pools), your indoor whirlpool bathtub is emptied after each use. There are no chemicals or stored water involved.
