How do I remove clothes from under agitator?

Believe it or not the agitator will come off. Look under the fabric softener cup. There should be a fastener (nut or bolt) to loosten. Give the cup a good cleaning while you have it off.
Once the nut is removed you can work the agitator off.

Hy108tgt

Our HY-108 (not a HY-108TGT) does not have a filter when it was purchased new from a Retailer.

IMHO, Honeywell/KAZ designed these Tower Fans to be disposable if they fail to work or need cleaning.

These Fans are hard to disassemble for service or maintenance, OEM replacement Parts are unavailable to the general public, service documentation is hard to find, and the Tower Fans tend to have a short Product lifespan. THEY BREAK EASILY! The OEM Service Manual points to replacing complete parts assemblies because few electronics diagnostics and no schematics are provided.

The HY-108 case can start to be disassembled (I have done so on ours) by *First* removing the screws and separating/removing the plastic Base from the main Case assembly. *Second* remove the Phillips-Head screws on the back of the Case. *Third*, the internal plastic 6 Tabs that keep the 2 halves held together need to be gently separated - careful, they break easily. You need to gently loosen the internal plastic "Tabs" by using a thin flat-head screwdriver to gently and carefully separate the outer shell cover.

How to remove agitator

Remove the dispenser and then the bolt below. Then grab the agitator and yank it out. Separate the 2 pieces by placing the agitator on the floor. Hold down the base with your feet and yank the top portion off there. then you can replace them worn out dogs.

I like to hold the bolt and slip the cam upside down into the upper portion and then line it up with the base and snap the 2 together.

How to separate auger from agitator. whirlpool ultimate care II

When you look down into the agitator, are there 4 white plastic points that look slightly melted or otherwise deformed? If so, using a small flat head screw and a small hammer, separate the white plastic from the surrounding translucent plastic. Once you've done that, it should easily pull apart.

Agitator not moving--seems loose

This washer has what we call a bionic agitator and this agitator has a 2 parts:
it has a base and a top section.
IF the BASE IS NOT WORKING AT ALL, please have the transimssion checked and also check the coupling.
IF the BASE is working and the top is NOT
THEN replace the 4 plastic AGITATOR DOGS that are in the agitator.

Remove the CAP from the agitator...remove any plastic cap.
Get a socket wrench and get the socket that removes the bolt.
remove bolt...
PULL the agitator from the base and separate the top from the bottom.
Take the top and turn it upside down to remove the platic interior part that holds these 4 dogs. REMOVE the old dos and replace with new and do a reverse engineeriong putting agitator back.

I sent this diagram to see if maybe you were looking in the wrong areafor the hold down bolt. It should sit down inside the auger tower afteryou remove the fabric softener cup (be sure you remove all the cupassembly on some models, they can separate). I havent seen a Maytag (orMaytag hybrid (i.e Amama) or others) not have a hold down bolt, but Icould imagine there might be.

I have a Whirlpool Ultimate Care II washer that had developed a "wrap" sound coming from the agitator. The agitator had a loose fit at the top, and can be moved about a 1/4 inch from side to side. How do I...

Remove the fabric softner cup. Remove cover underneath it by pulling up on it. It just snaps in and has a seal on it. Remove the bolt and lift up the upper agitator. You will need to get an agitator repair kit from an appliance parts store. It has seals for bolt and cap,.thrust washer for the botttom of upper agitator , cam dogs and a new holder and plate. Be sure to take the model number with you.

Agitator (can't get to the dogs)

Not sure if you mean the agitator is stuck to the shaft or the agitator will not separate now that you have it out of the machine, if the agitator is stuck, you may be able to get it loose by rocking it back and forth while pulling up on the base or bottom of the agitator. If you have the agitator out already, then stand on the base and pull up sharply on the top section and it will separate.

The tower of the washing machine isnt spining, but the base of the tower is.

The "tower" that you are referring to I assume is the agitator. If your agitator isn't moving, the agitator dogs (or teeth you mentioned) are the general suspect. They are made of plastic and typically wear out. The heavier the use, the quicker they wear out. If the teeth on the inside wall of the agitator are still in good shape, the dogs can be replaced without replacing the entire agitator and can be purchased at most appliance parts stores for less than $10. I hope this helps.
