Amano MJR 7000 - Having issues with time card stamp. for some weird reason, the machine stamps Tuesday's info. on top of Monday's info. No sure why it does it. Help?

sorry to say but the CP-3000/CP-5000 time clock was one of the worse ever made by Amano. it had all kinds of issues. If you want a reliable one, get a MJR-7000. www.gatewaytime.com

this is caused most likely by one of two issues:
1. The ribbon guide is misaligned or bent
2. A print needle within the printer is stuck or broken.

there are tons of answers for this
1. No ink ribbon
2. printer is faulty
3. printer is unplugged from board
4. sensor is faulty
5. is it giving an error code or spitting it back up?
6. there could be another card stuck inside....need more info to troubleshoot.

I am having the same problem and it is bugging me. I can print the test page through printer configuration but it will not allow me to select the thermal labels in stamps.com!

Go to the Menu button, to the top right is what looks like a "tools" tab, go to this. Once you scroll down, you can select "reset all"--this will take off the date/stamp info. if you clicked it "on" previously. Be sure to update all your other settings such as red eye alert/check.

From everything that I've seen I don't see any way to tim stamp incoming faxes. Almost all fax machines should automatically time stamp outgoing faxes unless the user has removed that function for some reason. If you are getting faxes from people that don't include time stamps than the next best thing is to use the journaling feature. The 2820 can print a journal of past incoming faxes that will include timestamps of the past faxes recieved in either 6,12,24 hour or 2, 7 day intervals. The default is every 50 faxes. To change the settings:

Press Menu/Set, 2,4,2
2. Journal Period
Use Arrows to choose an interval
Press Menu/Set
Press Stop/Exit
