My laptop screen is blue with horizantal lines. After I installed a graphics card driver everything went fine, but the next day the laptop's display started acting weird. So I turned off the laptop and...

The OS-loading screen is a stong indicator that thee is nothing wrog with your hardware, but it is a driver issue. You need to press F8 as your computer starts up and enter SAFE-MODE.
Windows 7
Using the F8 Method:
  1. Restart your computer.
  2. When the computer starts you will see your computer's hardware being listed. When you see this information start to gently tap the F8 key on your keyboard repeatedly until you are presented with the Windows 7 Advanced Boot Options screen as shown in the image below.

Figure 11. Windows 7 Advanced Boot Options screen
  3. Using the arrow keys, select the Safe Mode option you want.
  4. Then press the enter key on your keyboard to boot into Windows 7 Safe Mode.
  5. When Windows starts you will be at a typical logon screen. Logon to your computer and Windows 7 will enter Safe mode.
  6. Do whatever tasks you require, and when you are done, reboot to go back into normal mode.
In safe-mode remove & delete the drivers you installed. If you can, revert to your old driver set.

When I start up my Acer notebook, I just get a blue screen with the windows white icon in centre and nothing happens after. Was working fine till just now

Well your system is not loading windows properly, I would suggest you to perform a system restore if it loads fine in safe mode with networking if that fails then i would suggest Last known good configuration.

Step 1: Shut down your PC completely.
Step 2: Turn on the Power button.
Step 3: As soon as you turn it on start hitting the F8 key on your keyboard until you get to a black screen called "Windows Advanced option". (If you don't get to that that screen but you end up reaching the blue screen than that means you have delayed in hitting the F8 key. start again from step 1.)
Step 4: As soon as you reach "Windows Advanced option" use your down arrow keys to choose an option called "Safe Mode With Networking/Last Known good configuration".
Step 5: Select that and HIT ENTER.
Step 6: your PC will boot to the windows.

My computer will start but then when it trys to load it goes to a blue screen for like 3 sec. them restarts and it does this over and over

That's the blue screen of death, rebooth the pc in safe mode by pressing F6 key while booting (start up) and remove any software that u recently installed and restart. If it doesn't work format it and install a fresh copy of OS.

I have a compaq presario 1200 laptop and I have a blue screen problem. Whenever I run anything memory intensive it simply flashes a blue screen at me then reboots. Whats more is after it reboots it won't...

Your Operating System (OS) is corrupted.
The best solution to this problem is to reinstall your OS using an OS installation CD.
I would also recomend upgrading to Windows XP.
You can upgrade by simply installing Windows XP on your laptop.
Back up all your data before reinstalling your OS.

Computer will not boot up. I have tried to boot up in safe mode, normal, safe mode with prompt command...nothing works, just goes back to the normal start up screen and keeps doing the normal start up over...

It looks like you're encountering an endless reboot? Here's what to do to find the actual error message.

  1. Turn on the computer, and press F8 after the POST screen but before Windows attempts to start to access the advanced startup options.
  2. Select "Disable Automatic Restart On System Failure" and press Enter.
You should now get a blue screen with an error message and error codes. Please write these codes down and report back.
