Homelite Mightylite String Trimmer Piston removal

I need to remove the piston from a homelite mightylite strimmer,I need info on how to get the piston out.I can strip it down so far but don't know how to remove the piston arm assembly.Any info would be appreciated or better still a parts assembly diagram.............

Thanks for reply, I don't need a replacement part , the problem i have is that for some reason the piston arm was put in the wrong way. So it does not clear the side of the barrel and needs to be turned so the curve of the arm clears the barrel as there is a groove which allows clearance. It looks like it has been stripped down b4 and reassembled as there where other parts that had been put back wrong which i have allready remedied.

Homelite shows the short block assy ($84.02) but no breakdown of the top end. I've never taken one apart, not cost effective. Here's the link to their parts site. Have the UT number available

I have a MightyLite weed eater - the plastic bobble has a crack. What are my options besides purchasing a new weed eater? Purchased at Home depot.

You don't have to purchase a new one. Parts for it are available. This online parts house is good. If you are saying you need the plastic bubble for the carburetor, it is here.

There are 3 models listed. They are listed in the 4th section of misc. parts and are items 9,10, and 11.
All the other parts for your machine are listed here too:

Homelite trimmer, gas, string - y is the string wrapping itself around the head of the trimmer?

The line on my new 26cc Homelite would also feed out by itself. That started me thinking the line was wound backwards. I wrapped the line in the opposite direction as was shown on the bump feed reel and now the dang thing works although the bump feed needs to be "bumped" pretty hard to work. Is it possible that the reel was manufactured with the (string direction) arrows pointing the wrong direction? The new 26cc unit is also underpowered compared to my older 25cc trimmer.

Homelite hedge trimmer , motor runs but blades do

Had the same problem: when I turn on the trimmer, the motor would hum but the blades won't move.
What I did:
1. Sprayed a ton of wd40 between the blades
2. Took a screwdriver and kinda wedged it between the blades to get them unstuck. Also removed some guck between the blades.
And it worked!

Starter rope

First, i will take that the rope is in the front. If so, you will need to remove trimmer shaft, throttle assembly, so you will be able to remove starter housing.

Cutting blade doesn't move

a homelite is disposable, get a new one. You can pull it apart and see what broke and how much the new parts are. worst case, get the new one.
