How do you forward a phone call from this phone to a cell phone?

The phone people in the office should be able to turn off call forwarding and auto answer

this will be difficult to answer as you do not say if you have a "phone system" at your offfice or just plain old telephone service(POTS) at the office. If you have a phone system, you will need to look at a system user guide to find out how to cancell/change call forwarding, and if you have POTS, you can call the local phone company for instructions. If you find out what type you have, repost your question with the make/ model if a phone system and I may be able to assist you if you cannot find a user guide.

You will have to call your phone company and get them to roll your land line over to your cell phone (there is a charge for this) Note, anytime you do not answer your office line your cell will ring.

You can use Google Voice to automatically forward calls based on a variety of rules. For example, you can have a call to your GV number automatically forward to both the office and cell phone numbers, or you can have the call forwarded to either of those depending on time of day or based on who is calling. Additionally, when the person leaves the office, he/she can quickly change a setting in GV to change the redirect. So, for example, right before leaving the office he/she can set GV to forward to the cell phone; then when he/she returns, GV can be configured to direct calls back to the office number.

Hi I have posted a video for you which shows how to forward calls, you need to find out what the Voice Mail number is, so that you can set the forward to this number. there are various options for forwarding, 'All Calls' and 'Busy , No answer' are the best options, if the one uploaded is wrong chech out 'abbeytel' on Youtube where you will find the right one. Are you using a PRI, or POTS lines?

Probably pots lines, as this is a common occurance when forwarding out over pots lines.

Basically you are doing an unsupervised conference call when you forward to cell.

To prove the lines in the office are the problem, set up a conference call. If the 2 remote people can not hear each other the same as you describe in your forwarding, then it is the POTS lines.

The problem is, no one is going to be able to do anything about it. If this is an important feature, then you may want to look at a new system that can have different line types and then this isnt a problem.

The Prostar 816 wasn't capable of an external transfer of lines so its my guess that your using call forwarding through centrex to accomplish the job. i.e. *72 dial the number you wish to transfer to wait for an answer and hang up. *73 would be the disable code for call forward but is done by the line that originated the call. The only way i could see around that is to have ultra call forwarding on the line so it can be established and terminated remotely.

I forward my office phone by dialing 72# and the number.

Your office phone may be on a system that did the forwarding, or you may have to CANCEL call forwarding (73#) before you can set it.
