Machine cant get any water.

Hi my fisher paykel washing machine was leaking a small puddle of water under the machine itself and also the display screen panel said that it wasn’t getting any water it may have been on rinse at the time. I restarted the wash 3 times every time it would fill with water but stop I think it was on rinse cycle and the display screen would say that it can’t get any water.

yes it would fill with water at a start of a cycle but when it got to rinse it stated that it could not get any water. and it was filling to the correct height at the start of a cycle

Does the water fill to the correct level ?

  • Anonymous Sep 11, 2007

I ma confused by your post . You say " the machine cant get any water" yet then you write that it "would fill with water " ???

  • Anonymous Sep 14, 2007

However, does it complete the rinse(inspite of what the display says) and then spin out to finish the complete wash cycle. ?

Fisher and Paykel Washing Machine model mw512

this sounds like the motor controller cant start the motor. I would be looking at the motor controller itself.
when it's filling with water, does the bowl go around slowly?

Fisher & paykel fault "F1" is displayed on the top

hello
F1 means the flood sensor senses water at base of machine at PC board.
You need to take out bottom drawer and check for water puddle under where the drawer was.If there is water you can get the machine going again by comletely drying it out(F1WILL CLEAR),but it still means you have a leak. With bottom drawer out you can really see whats going on.Once F1 is clear you can actually run upper drawer and see if it leaks. Most likely culprit are the lid actuators.Replace all 4 . It'll run like new.Don't overload drawer .That can cause lid leak too. Also the PC board may be damaged and may start to go crazy giving fake F1 codes.$80 easy fix.
good luck

Fisher Paykel Ecosmart washing machine spills water.

sometimes too much detergent, or extra cleaners like oxy clean) will cause lots of foam which will cause the water level sensor to misread, or foam over the top of the drum. if this is not the problem, you will have to tilt the machine on its side and look for loose or damaged hoses. the play in the tub will not cause leaking

Fisher & paykel smart drive washing machine leaking water

If your washer is still under warranty, I would call the company and have them send someone down. If the leak is from either the drum itself or a seal then I don't think you could handle it yourself. But, first make absolutely sure that it's not from any hose connection. Tighten all the connections, especially those to the drain pump. And check the pump itself for any leaks.

Depending on the age of the unit:

Possible minor leak at the pump.
Possible leak at the spin bearing/boot seal.
