Question about Plumbing
One-Handle Moen kitchen faucet leaks a steady stream when hot water is on. Does not leak at all when only cold water is on. Trying to remove cartridge(?), but seems to be stuck. Have never done this before and do not want to damage while removing. Pin is out and now I think it should slide right out. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.
Moen uses a cartridge on their faucets. You have to remove the handle. You will find the stem and a small U shaped retainer. Pull the retainer out and pull the cargridge straight up. Sometimes the cartridge is in there pretty tight and you have to pull hard. Once you do this, take the cartridge to your local hardware store. Replace it with the one you have because they have 2 different one. Install it back in the same order it was removed. Hope this helps and good luck.
