The epson L210 (and all the L series) calculating the ink level, by counting the printed pages. The printer has programmed to recognize a full tank as about 4000 pages. When the count goes upper than 3500 or 3600 pages (I am not sure for the exactly number because I am a user too, no an technician), the printer start to warning you that the ink level is low by blinking continually the ink (orange light).... When the count reach the 4000 pages the ink light go on permanently and the printer stop to work and it doesn't print anymore.
All the above is the protecting system of the printer and that is not mean that the machine is broke.
The printer can not recognize if someone put more ink in the tank. For this reason if someone refill the tank before the printer ask it (by blinking permanently the ink light), the machine continues to "think" that the ink level is low so it start the warnings.
Anyway if someone has refill the tank, before the printer ask it, and suddenly after few printed pages the print stop work and the ink light is on permanently, then just unhook the tanks of the printer just like as you will do when you want to refill the ink tanks. There is somewhere in the hooks a switch that help the printer to understand when the tanks is on the machine or not.
So if the ink light is permanently on and you unhook the tanks, the printer thinks that you filling up the ink tank and it removes the warning of the light and the printer start work again.

IT WORKS ONLY IF THE INK LIGHT IS PERMANENTLY ON and no when it blinking. Because the printer needs to make a reset on his page counting and that can be happen right only if the light is on.

SOURCE: The orange lamp always lights

depending on how many times the orange light flashes. if 4 flashes then the ink has run out. if 5 flashes then it can not recognise the ink cartridge, if 7 flashes then the ink is not installed properly.

SOURCE: ERROR U130

The remaining ink level cannot be correctly detected. Replace the ink tank and close the Scanning Unit (Printer Cover). Printing with an ink tank that was once empty may damage the machine. If you want to continue printing in this condition, you need to release the function for detecting the remaining ink level. Press and hold the Stop/Reset button for at least 5 seconds, and then release it. * With this operation, releasing the function for detecting the remaining ink level is memorized. Please be advised that Canon shall not be liable for any machine malfunction or damage caused by refilled ink tanks. See “Replacing an Ink Tank” on page 46.

Light is blinking in Epson L2010

http://support2.epson.net/manuals/english/spc/l210_350/pdf/npd4686-00_ug.pdf

Is it an L2010 or an L210?
Which light is blinking?
Does it do it all the time? As soon as it is turned on?
Have you checked the ink supply and that all the covers are properly closed?

I filled the Epson genuine black ink but the orange light in the ink indicator blinking and the status of black ink shows only 1%. please help. Printer is Epson L210

Did you refill the cartridge? If so, then you will need to reset a chip on the cartridge somehow. Usually epson doesn't sell "refill" ink unless it is an EcoTank series printer.

HOW TO RESET EPSON L210 INK LEVELS

WIC Reset Utility is the only solution to the problem. Caution! WIC Interface uses Technical terms for settings and have many factory level setting options, which should not be disturbed by an end-user, so carefully use WIC only to reset INK Levels and Pad Counters. Better refer screenshots of WIC from internet before trying, me too have an L210, the solution is 100% sure and Applied, I am sure you will be thanking me..

Ink indicator lights

It's mean "ink out". Not actually "inK", but ink level counter reached zero. If using original ink tank, just replace with new one. If using "hardware resetter", reset ink level counter. If using CIS ink tank, it will be auto reset.
Remember, it's program not actual ink. So, if you reset it, ink level will show full, even if you didn't refill ink tank.
