Another to reset the password .
If the password was entered for the Bios (that is, right when you turn the PC on and NOT loading Windows, You can reset the BIOS in the following way. It requires a little toolwork and inside the case work though it is an easy fix. This fix requires a little BIOS knowledge and someone familiar with the insides of a computer case though. Make sure the PC is completly OFF! (unplug or use switch on Power supply)
Open the case, by unscrewing or unsnapping the side of the case and get access to the inside of the PC. Ground yourself out to the PC by either connecting a piece of naked wire from your hand to the metal walls of the case or use a ground clip from your local PC store. Next, find the little round battery that looks like a watch battery and looking around you should see a jumper set on a 3 pin point. It should say on the Mother board "reset" or something like that. Move the jumper to the other exposed pin wait a few seconds and return it to its original position. If you have a Mobo manual it will show you exactly where on the board this jumper is located. you can also get this info from the boards website under manuals. Plug everything back in or switch on leaving the side off the case and turn on the PC. If it boots, your all set and close up the case. If not, close everything up and contact the board maker to get the proper BIOS Reset procedure for that particular model. This procedure usually works though. Sometimes there is no jumper but a couple of blank solder pads instead. use a bent paperclip to do the same reset. This also resets the BIOS itself (thus removing the password), so if you made any changes to the BIOS, you'll have to enter the setup program and make the changes you priviously made.

is the bios setting protecting the pc with a password prompt? if so you may have to bipass the password by exposing the cpu, open the case ground yourself, remove the lithium battery, count to fifteen seconds, reinstall the battery turn it on. If it is the operating system you may have to log-into the admin settings to remove the password setting, if you have admin priviledges you can do so. if not all i can suggest to you is re-format your hard drive, and re-install windows. if you choose to re-add a passcode enter a passcode that is easy to-remember that can be thought of in plain sight that you speak daily. back up your files, photos and videos so in case this happens again you can recover your important files. if your a just like myself and, don't want this drama i would refuse to use windows, and switch to ubuntu desktop, red hat linux desktop, or xandros desktop
