i have a viper alarm on my car with remote start. it has a setting where i can choose how long my car runs after it is started. you might check to see if yours has this setting as well. if not it could be a faulty remote
The starter need a lot more charge to crank the engine then lights, door lock and other auxiliary equipment. So it could be a battery. Try jump wire your car. If this does not help - check the starter relay in the relay box of engine compartment.
try removing the battery + for at least 2 minutes. it should reset the alarm system. if it doesnt work you need to make your remote work try replacing the batteries and try it
This is a feature that is fitted to stop your car being hot wired and stolen. It would take a huge amount of work and money to bypass. The key fob contains an electronic immobiliser. Take the key to a VW dealership or a Car key specialist and get the battery you need. Some remotes take standard 'button' batteries so potentially could only cost you pocket change.
