Hello erraez, I would suggest that you first get a schematic for this set (either call the manufacture or go to a sams photofact site and order one). It sounds like you have a powersupply problem, the only way to make sure is to have someone or yourself check the power supply levels to determine what is happening. You will also need a multimeter for this task. If you do not feel comfortable doing this you can lok for a shop on fixya.com or find one in your neighborhood that will look at it and give you an estimate on what is wrong.

Did you try the self diagnosis? If not then when you plug in do you have any light on front panel at first and when you press power?

Why does my t.V keep switching to dvd screen.

TVs turn on in the last screen they were turned off. Try switching screens using the remote control. If the dvd screen keeps coming back, try pressing or tapping on the manual key located on the side or bottom or back of the TV panel. Sometimes this key gets stuck up. If this does not work, try unplugging your home theater and turn on the TV. Most TVs automatically switch to DVD when they sense signal from HDMI cables.

Green light stays on when trying to turn off tv. picture go's off when cable remote is used but green light stays onand you can see that screen is still on?

You need to set up the cable box remote for your TV , now you are just turning off the cable box. Some cable boxes have a switched plug on the back that will turn on and off with the box. If yours has the switched receptacle you can use that to turn the TV on and off by plugging your TV into the switched receptacle. Make sure the TV power is on, the receptacle will kill the power so the clock on the TV wont work. Otherwise you need to set the code for your TVs remote and use the system power button.

Emerson TV won't turn on

I can't hear the words you are saying in your video, and I can see you are trying to turn on the TV with the remote soooo...How about changing the batteries in the remote? Test the TV by trying to turn it on using the front panel switch. Make sure the TV is plugged in. If the remote control controls another device cycle that device's power. Try all of these things and get back to me if you need more help!

Turn on without remote control

If the TV was switched OFF by remote control for the last time, you can't switch it back ON, without its remote control.
Just try this. Unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket. Wait for at least 5 minutes and plug it back. Switch it ON by its front panel power ON/OFF switch. Just press any button [Ch UP / Ch DN or Vol UP / Vol DN] Sometimes this might turn ON your TV.
