Dirt Devil upright has too much suction.

In a world where most people wish their cleaners had more suction, yours is a rare complaint indeed. Upright cleaners in particular are complaint-worthy as they soon tend to lose suction. It would be good to read more about the reason for your complaint?

Ideally an upright will have enough suction to lift the carpet from the floor a few mm and trap it against the mouth of the brush housing so air can be drawn through the carpet helping to lift out dirt so the brush can work more efficiently. An upright that is working correctly is much harder to push along and as they age they tend to be easier to push as they lose efficiency.

Most cleaners are fitted with at least one filter and they do rob them of suction. Some people remove the filters to improve the suction. Perhaps your cleaner has one or more filters missing.

I have a Lift Off Pet Bagless upright and ever since I **** up a hair tie it hasn't been **** up the dog hair from my carpet. I have gotten the hair tie out of the vacuum but it is still not **** up.

One of the reasons it might not be picking up is because you have a worn belt. The other reason could be that the suction channel is clogged. Did you remove the hair tie you ****up? If you need a replacement belt you can get it here: Bissell Lift-Off Pet Replacement Belt

My Dyson will not lock into the stand position

- Stand behind the vacuum cleaner
- Remove the AI PIPE (it has two purple buttons that you push together to lift it up and out - it looks like a Tuba)
- Lay the handle down
- Stick your index finger and middle finger into the vacant AI Pipe Hole (the square hole)
- Reach over with your thumb and press the black button in front of the square hole
- WHilst pushing the black button, lift your index finger and your middle finger and move the gray plastic piece up (lift the square holse basically)
- Remove your fingers from the square hole
- Lift the handle and stand your machine back upright again
- Place the AI Pipe back into the square hole

- Lay the handle down and look for a black button that will be exposed in front of the square hole
