Whenever i graph inequalities, the casio automatically shades in the areas. my problem is that i only want to see the lines so that while graphing a line with a limit i can cut off the line and not have to see a lot of shading obscuring the lines. with the TI-84 calculators i have read that you can access apps and turn off certain settings, but with the casio there is no list of apps and in the setup menu the only two options for the shading are "and" and "or", in other words, shading or lots of ridiculous lines. please help, i need to be able to easily place limits and cut off lines for my calculus class.
The solution set of a linear inequality in two variables (x,y) is one half of the Cartesian plane. The half-plane may or may not contain the boundary line defined by the = sign. Thus it is expected that the calculator shades the relevant half-plane. If you are dealing with nonlinear inequalities the calculator shades inside or outside the curve.
When drawing multiple inequalities the Casio offers you the possibility to shade the regions where ALL conditions (ALL inequalities) are simultaneously satisfied. The other option is OR.
If you are not interested in the shading do not draw inequalities, draw equations (with =).
Testimonial: "Yes, but the problem with using = is that no lines interact with one another; we are working with limits and i cannot limit (for example) x squared is less than y=3. I get the graph of x squared and the graph of y=3. In the end, casio sucks and I'll end up buying a TI."
