You're going to have to make sure you have the right video drivers for your computer installed. Usually running windows update and installing all optional updates will resolve this. Also make sure that the refresh rate is set to what is native to the display, which would be 75hz for that model

How to change your Windows 7 display settings

In Windows 7 there are serveral ways to get to your display settings. I have detailed them below in options so that you can access them as needed.

Option 1

Right click on your desktop and select "Screen Resolution"

Option 2

1. Right click on your desktop and select "Personalize"

2. Next click on "Display"

3. Click on "Adjust resolution"

Option 3

1. Click the Start button and click Control Panel

2. Next click on "Display"

3. Click on "Adjust resolution"
Once you are in the Screen Resolution you can set the resolution you want.

Note the resolution that is set now is a wide screen resolution. If you have a standard monitor the equivalent resolution would be 1280 x 1024.

After you have made the needed changes click on Apply then OK to save your changes.

Note if you are still have trouble with your monitor displaying right you may need to install the monitor drives. Windows is not going to have the actual drivers for all monitors. So in picture below you will see where is shows "Generic PnP Monitor" this means that the computer is using a generic driver. You can access this screen by clicking on "Advance Setting".

If you need to install the monitor drivers the link below will take you through the steps of installing the monitor drivers.

Monitor's resolution need to be increased, how?

Hi

You don't say which operating system you are using.

The monitor resolves images across a fixed range of resolutions and resfresh rates.

It is the resolution of the graphics card or graphics adapter that can be changed, not that of the monitor.

Right click on empty space on your desktop > properties > settings.

Left click and hold on the slider and slide to the right in stages.

Each resolution change offers you a test page to accept or reject.

When satisfied Apply > Yes > Ok.

To reset the Refresh Rate:

Properties > settings > Advanced > Refresh Rate.

Then restart your computer.

Be careful not to exceed the resolution/refresh rate range of your monitor (1280 x 1024) / 75.0 Hz because if you do, when you restart the computer, the monitor will be unable to resolve the image and you will get a blank screen and/or an Out Of Range error message.

An out of range problem might only be resolved by using a different monitor to reset the resolution back to within the range of the preferred monitor.

Hope this helps

My computer's screen resolution is too low

Hello to adjust your screen resolution, right click on the desktop and either click properties for Windows XP or screen resolution for Windows Vista/7. Then for XP click settings and you will see a slider bar where you can adjust your screen resolution. For windows 7, it will be on the screen that opens up, just slide the bar into the resolution you want.

The screen resolution on your laptop may be set too high for the data projector. Try reducing the laptop's screen resolution down to 1024 X 768.

How do I enlarge the screen to fill the monitor

You can resolve this by checking your computers resolution. How you do this depends on the operating system (ie. XP, vista, Windows 7). In windows XP, click start-->control panel--> display...then under the settings tab you should see a resolution slider. Change that setting to your desired preference. If you are using windows 7 or vista, you can right click on a blank space on your desktop and click "Screen Resolution" . If screen resolution does not exist, just click on "Personalize" and change the resolution settings from there.

Hope this helps

How to set resolution?

Right click on the desktop - it's right there in 7. In XP it's in Properties / Settings.
