After working well for about a week our Maytag Performa Electric Smoothtop Range (Model #MERH752BAB) has no heat to the burners or oven. The "on indicator" light does not turn on. Only the clock and control panel buttons are working. It does not seem to be set to any delayed or Sabbath settings. Our first problems with the heat turning off seemed to be fixed by tipping and resetting the range. Now nothing works. Any suggestions? Many thanks!
Thanks for replying -- I didn't get into the full details but although it had not been used it was no longer under warranty as we bought the house (with new appliances) from an owner who had fixed it up and remodeled the kitchen but never lived in it (or used the stove). The previous owner did however give us a sort of warranty on the house and so we got in touch with them. We got a repairman in and it turned out the the power cord was badly damaged on the underside of one of the three parts and that was why we had power to the clock and control panel but not to the oven or range. In the end we were happy that it hadn't started a fire back behind the stove.
It would have to be under warranty if this happened after only 1 week. I would contact the manufacturer.

whirpool wge32300 electric range/oven - all stopped working at the same time, I took the back off and I can't find a thermal fuse, and the reset button doesn't seem to want to 'reset'
maytag performa electric range indicator light wont go off even when stove is not hot
When we turn the oven on a small red light goes on. But there does not seem to be a way to determine when the oven reaches the set temperature. The red light stays on as long as the oven is turned on. And yes, there is no thermometer with the range.
