hi tracey, 5102 is a main motor failure, it is possible for there to be paper jammed tight in the fuser unit, if not this will pretty much be guaranteed to be the main motor
Main motor malfunction
- The main motor (M1) lock signal remains HIGH for a continuous 1-sec. a period at any time 1 sec. after the main motor has started turning.
Remedy
1 Check the connector between M1-PRCB CN6 for proper connection and correct as necessary.
2 Check M1 for correct drive coupling and correct as necessary.
3 M1 operation check.
4 Change PRCB.
5 Change DCPU.
C-5102/5103 - Main motor failure. Check the motor connector,the drive coupling or the mechanical control board and DC power supply unit.90% mechanical rpoblem.
If this error code show at power up, this mean the main motor has failed and need to be replaced, but if you already did that this mean you may need and the board PWB-M.
