Gateway gt5654 desktop driver wont start up, blue power buton is on but nothing else

You can get a powr supply for this, but if the surge went passed that and smoked the motherboard then your going to need to replace that as well but a new poer supply should shore this up and you can get them from frys.com,tigerdirect.com you be glad you did!

Based on my experience, the most probable cause of your problem is the RAM. Try Cleaning the RAM first by removing it from the slot, and rub the pins with a pencil eraser. As shown on the image below: 263dfab.jpg

Then re-install it to the motherboard. If problem persist, you may need to replace your RAM.

Note: If you have two RAMs on your pc, might as well clean them both, and then test each RAM to find out if either one of them or both are busted.

It should either be in the settings for the card, (software) the control panel around network connections or the card on device manager.

yes, on the back of the computer usually a light blue input port. the are labeled with an icon with the arrow pointing inward on the icon.

it is possible that one of the three are going out on the computer, motherboard, harddrive, power supply, only a computer tech could tell which one.

My Gateway GT5654 desktop just quit in the middle of me working. A blue screen came up and before I could even read anything but crash it turned off. Now when I turn it on it just goes to the gateway...

Had a power surge... a of my external harddrives work; however, can't get either computer to power on... Gateway GT5654 or my wife's Gateway GT5408.. on my wife's motherboard, there is a green light......

Gateway desktop won't start up

Here are a couple of links that may help you to diagnose the problem...it could be your power supply is partially failing, but that's just a stab in the dark.
