I have a Python 1400xp remote start system that was working fine up until recently. I've noticed that when the weather is at least fairly cool, the remote start works, however if it is hot, the starter will crank but engine won't start. I've tried leave AC and other accessories off when testing but problem persists. Yet all problems disappear when weather cools down. I've tried adjusting crank time, voltage sensing, you name it, but can't get problem resolved.

That does not sound intierly tru but what is the year ,make and model of your car and i can check for you. but if memory seves me right it just consists of alot of extra work that most tech's dont like to do.

look under the dash for a small silver toggle switch....this is a disable switch for the remote start portion of the system..you may have kicked it / bumped it with your foot, causing the remote start portion to be deactivated. Just flip the switch the opposite way and try again..
Also, there may have been a pin style switch installed under the hood...Check to see if it is bent or broken, if it is, simply disconnect it and insulate the wire that was going to it. 
This wire is used as a safety to keep the vehicle from remote starting while the hood is up..to keep people from being injured if the remote start is activated while the engine is being worked on. 
Have whatever shop installed the system replace your pinswitch if that is the problem.

yes you are correct the learn procedure is done by a dei 555L or a 555G bypass module.your car should have one or the other installed on it. simply unplug it,it will be a three wire plug. then plug it back in and then by turning the ignition on and off it will relearn the code.
