I had the same problem, but i had a Asus motherboard. As far as i know they don't give any discount if you buy a new board. The thing is, the board is so expensive because it is a few years old and probably are not in mass production anymore. I live in sout africa and were looking for a new computer to buy and found a good computer in USA for just over $350 trade tax included, which is ironic if you think you have to pay $175 just for a new 'outdated" motherboard...
I would suggest that you sell the parts that you have which is still working, and buy a new computer, you can even get a much cheaper computer if you do not need good graphics and high performace. Hope this can help you.
