Try to find the latch in the cover that presses a switch to indicate it is closed it is usually a small stick projection at the sides of the cover. Replace the cartridge it should fit snuggly then try it again.

SOURCE: My HP Photosmart 3210xi cartridge door is also locked in open

There's no sensor, it's just a spring and a plastic wedge thing.

Using a #10 torx driver, remove two screws holding the right-hand side panel from the printer. (one in the back, one on top underneath the ink access door.) Unsnap it and set it aside.

Disconnect 3 small ribbon cables and one 5-pin connector that lead from the printer to the access door/scanner.

Remove the lid from the flatbed, then remove the access door from it's hinges. Use the torx driver and unscrew the hinges from the main scanner body.

Lift the hinge assembly from the scanner and push the steel pin out, seperating the two parts of the hinge.

From there you should be able to loosen them up, remove the springs, lubricate them, or find whatever the problem is.

Reassemble and you're done.

Where are the ink cartridge located on machiney m

The ink cartridges are only accessible when the printer is on. Open the access door on the right front of the unit. (flip the door down by pulling from the side of the printer). If this is a new unit or one that has been packed for transport, remove and save the green protective part. Unpack your new cartridges and turn the green knob on the yellow protective cap clockwise until you here a click. Then pull the cap straight out away from the cartridge. Use the arrow to line up the cartridge with the appropriate slot and push the cartridge into the printer. Push the cartridge forward until it clicks. (Repeat for the rest of the cartridges.) Then close the access door.

If you are replacing cartridges. Open the access door and push down to unlock and release the cartridge you need to replace. The other directions are the same.

If the cartridge carrier doesn't come to the ink access position, close the access door and make sure the printer is on. Check for an error code on the unit. (Clear any paper jams or foreign objects that are blocking the cartridge carrier from moving properly. See the URL below for troubleshooting details.)

You can get the manuals from Brother: http://www.brother-usa.com/mfc/modeldetail.aspx?PRODUCTID=mfc295cn .

I hope this helps.

It keeps on sayin my access door is open but my printer doesnt have a rear door

Access door is usually the one that opens to allow the insertion of new cartridges. Try opening and closing that one and restarting the device after completely unplugging from the mains and waiting 30 secs.

5300 kodak eazyshare printer

Well, here is the proper way of fixing or troubleshooting that paper jam error in your printer

Open the printer access door and remove both of the ink cartridge, then remove also the printhead, after that close the printer access door, without those parts. Then it will show a message in the printer screen, "Printhead is missing or has come loose" or "Printhead Not Detected" Install the printhead, just the printhead without the ink cartridges. After that close the printer access door. Then it will show you a message"Ink cartridges is not installed, install ink cartridges". then open again the printer access door, then install the black ink cartridge without the color ink cartridge. then close the printer access door, then message must be " Color ink cartridge is not installed, install color ink cartridge" then install the color ink cartridge." the message must be,"New printhead is detected calibration require, load paper and press start"

Thats the way of overiding the paper jam error message of your kodak all in one printer
hope this will help you guys

Says printer cartridge access door open when closed

No it will not complain for an open door if there is no cartridge. There will be a separate warning for no cartridge or toner not installed error. You might want to play around with the cartridge door a little and see for a possible paper stuck somewhere inside.
