I have a tom tome live 310 SV DC 1a and FC also written on it. I am having issues with the power button. I am not sure if there is something wrong in the cord or what has happened. Everytime I press on, no matter how long I try to press, it does not turn on. I do not know what I should try to do with this or why this is happening.

My TOMTOM GO 720 trips out of demo mode after 100 km. and returns to start position. Is this normal or do you have to be on route to see more of the demo mode.

SOURCE: CANNOT GET THE TOMTOM TO COME ON IN THE TRUCK.

you may have a faulty device as you have tryed it with and without the cord, or may have blown the fuse inside the device if you've plugged it in to too high a voltage, check the voltages match for your truck and device. If they do you should think about a new battery. Or else if it is new return it to dealer. The only other cause is you have corrupted programme inside, this can be fixed by USB in to your computer and visiting www.tomtom.com form all the downloads you require. If your computer cannot see the tomtom and any SDcard aswell, when connected, the device is at fault.

leave on charge for two hours, then with the SD card out hold down the reset button at the back of unit for ten seconds and then the 'on' switch for ten seconds.

Where can I source a DC in 15 V 1A power adapter?

Do you have jaycar Colin where you live.

A similar electronics store in your local area would most likely have a power apadter like the one in the link 2A can be used it is the max current drag from the power adapter. So it would work on 1A load.

Plugged in not charging

There could be several things wrong. You could have a broken DC jack on your motherboard. To prove this, wiggle the DC jack with the adapter plugged in. If the charging light comes on when you wiggle the jack, then your jack is broken. You could also have a defective AC adapter.

The screen is frozen.cant find reset button? tom tom one -info written on unit, maybe helpful ?canada 310, also cefc ,5vdc 12A please help me to get this working, please? my name is linda email...

Hi Linda

I had this problem also, the power on button should do the trick if you hold it down for 10 seconds, I had this fault with mine also. I was told that if you do not use them for a while this can occur. I think it is because the battery does not have enough charge in it. If you can leave it to charge up for a few hours at home. also sometimes removing the memory card can unfreeze the screen

Hope this helps, if you are still habving trouble get back to me

Although the AC adapter's LED illuminates (green) and the notebook's battery light illuminates (yellow), the notebook will NOT power on via the power button located at the upper right-hand corner of the...

1. Take the battery out of the laptop & try to turn on the laptop using power adapter only. If the computer turns on, then the battery is defective & needs to be replaced.
2. Make sure the power adapter is not defective. Test the output voltage of the power adapter using a voltmeter. Compare the voltmeter reading to the nominal value written on the adapter or the laptop.
3. Make sure the DC jack is not loose or broken. A loose DC jack will need to be re-soldered. A broken one will need to be replaced.
4. If you have another processor which is compatible with your laptop's model, try swapping processors & test to see if the laptop will work.
5. The power button could be bad.
6. The motherboard could be defective & needs to be replaced.

It won't turn on

I just had the exact problem as you did. On the TomTom website mentions that you can press the Turn-on button for 15 seconds to reset it. I tried that and it worked. Maybe it'll work for you too.
