Firstly, it looks like the plug showing in your video has 3 black bands on it. Is that correct? If so, that usually indicates that it would be a headset that also includes a microphone like the kind of device to use on a cell phone that has that kind of female plug on it. I would try to determine where the problem originates, the computer or the earbuds. You could do this by plugging in a pair of known working headphones in to the computer and see if they work ok. I took a pair of earbuds of my own that have the 3 black lines on the plug (and they do in fact have a microphone too) and plugged it in to my laptop and they work fine. The fact of the 3 black lines does not seem to have any effect on whether or not sound comes out of both buds. so, I would take the "broken" earbuds and try them on an mp3 player, someone else's computer or anything else like that that plays stereo music. If you only get sound from one speaker while they're plugged in to a different device then you can safely assume that the earbuds are broken. Most likely a bad wire in my opinion. It's probably time to head to the store at that point and pick up a new pair of earbuds. Thankfully, they're not very expensive these days. I hope that helps. any more questions? you can email me: [email protected]
