Is the lcd screen completely blank? Or does is it just the touch functionality that is not working?

If the screen is blank, though the copier still turns on and appears to function (test it by printing to it,) then you most likely have a failed power inverter board. This board provides the current needed to operate the lcd screen and is a rather common failure. However, if it is just the touch feature that is not working though the screen lights up, then you most likely have a ripped ribbon cable that connects the lcd touch function to the main board on the lcd screen.

When the touch screen on your phone is malfunctioning,it indicates that the inner touch pad embedded with the LCD screen is bad hence the touch screen will not respond to any touch whatsoever.


However,the only solution is to disassemble the phone and replace the LCD screen of your phone to restore it back to a normal working condition.

When touch switches become nonworking then mostly its cause of connecting flexible ribbon wires between LCD board and camcorder main board that got cracked so touch buttons signal does not go to camcorder system control. Need to replace that flexible wire by qualified camera tech.

Very rare cases I found touch buttons layer that is pasted and part of LCD becomes defective, do you see hard or deep scratch on LCD surface? if yes, then LCD screen will be replaced because touch button array is damaged.

If the buttons on the touch-panel LCD screen do not respond correctly or do not work at all, adjust the LCD screen calibration. Consult the instruction manual if specific information is required to perform this procedure.
NOTE: The touch-panel LCD screen cannot be calibrated if it is rotated.

LCD is inside the front glass that has logo of htc

the upper glass is called touch panel or digitizer it is working as u say but lcd is broken u can see visible cracks on it and it may partially display or not at all then ur lcd is broken by pressure or impact u need to get it replaced around like 100-150 dollars depends on the model and size of the lcd screen

Your problem is with the LCD behind the touch screen. The bottom scren on your DS is actually two screens. An LCD and a touch screen on top of it. Either your cable has come loose inside the DS or the LCD is possibly bad. This can be fixed.

The other option is that the electronics feeding the LCD have gone bad in which case you might as well buy a new DS. But check the screen first.

If the DS is under a year old you can send it to Nintendo for free repair.

There are 2 things you have to check for. The touch screen was changed in the middle of production run. The flexible connector & the corresponding socket on the main board were inverted. In other words the exposed track side was moved from upper to lower side. The older type of touch scrteen is no longer available. Casio made the socket available to their service centre to change in on the main board to suit the newer type of touch screen. If this is the case you will have to get the newer type touch screen to suit the E-115. The second aspect is that there are 4 self adhesive spacer tapes (approximately 3 mm x 80 mm x 0.5mm thick on the long side & 3 mm x 60 mm x .5 mm on ythe short side) on the periphery of the LCD. This is to keep the touch screen from touching the LCD. This is to prevent Newton's rings as also to prevent malfunction of the touch screen. These are an absolute must. Other than that the touch screens are absolutely the same. Hope this helps.
