I can not find remote codes for the Daytek DVK-5601 DVD player

Hi
Does anyone know if the Daytek DVK-5601 DVD player is with another manufacturers DVD remote codes?

I am trying to get it to work with the Remote for my new Onkyo HT-S6100 home Theatre, ad with my All-in-one URC-6017 Universal remote.

Onkyo suggested I find out who made the DVD player for Daytek and try those codes, or find out id theyt are compatible with another manufactures remote codes... I've asked Daytek, but they have not answered..

Any Thoughts?

Well I finally got an answer from Daytek. It's not what I wanted to hear, but thought I'd share it in case someone else runs into the same issue.

"I am sorry to inform you that there’s no dedicated universal remote code for Daytek models. However, you can try the code for MTC on our unit and see if it works."

The remote for your DVD is available from e-bay and Amazon. Universal remotes can use several codes for the same manufacture some are the same.. Usually for a manufacture there are more than one code. try all checking each one.

Daytek portable DVD player
1- Push switch ON
2- Press setup on the remote
4- Using the remote enter 9735 and a number will appear on top right of screen
5- Using the Left/Right arrow change the region to 1,2,3,4,5,6,255 as you wish, 255 is region free.
6- Press setup again to save changes
7- Play your DVD

Various LG DVD Player
Some models of PIONEER cd players had radio frequency problems that caused them to work on and off. Are you near any radio or braodcast towers? Poorly shielded power supplies cause this as well. A weak laser diode in the pick-up assembly in model runs could be the problem. You might want to Google the model number and see if this is common for these units.
