Sony Handycam DCR-PC109 NTSC minicam--"Reinsert

The C31 indicates that there is a motor movement problem. I don't have the manual handy at the moment, but the :23 will indicate which movement is having the problem. This is not typically a DIY repair. I woul d strongly suggest that you check the fixed repair cost from a Sony authorized service center. This will not only repair the unit, but also reset it back to factory specifications.

I'll look up the error code tonight and try to update this.

On a sony digital handycam digital 8 TRV 250. what does the self diagnosis display c:31:32 mean?

A malfunction other than the above that you can service has occurred.
  • Eject the cassette and insert it again, then operate your camcorder.
  • Disconnect the power cord of the AC Adapter or remove the battery pack. After reconnecting the power source, operate your camcorder

Cannot eject cassette

Remove power source/ battery from camera for couple of minutes, replug/ attach battery and check.
If camcorder still gives error then its mechanical issue in tape mechanism and qualified camera tech will repair it.
Thanks.
