WE purchased this from Future Shop in Hamilton, Ont for a x'mas present in DEC 2005.(LC32R16). For last couple of months or so Feb/Mar 09, Every time we switch the TV the ''off'' at night, we cannot get it to switch on in the morning. So, to counter this we just switch off the HD cable connection every night. This also happens when we experience any power failure from our hydro- the red power light on the set goes off, and it comes back after some time has passed- recently 2-3 days. It is connected to the outlet through a power bar which also power a video and DVD player. We sometimes ''jiggle'' the power cable and it comes back on, In most times we just have to wait for the power to come back to the set. It has now been off since Friday April 3rd/09. Has any one had similar problems like this. and what is the cure.?
Sounds like the TV is having problems connecting with the power board. Contact Prima and let them know about your problem. Some parts have lifetime warranties and maybe this problem is covered. Changing out the power board is pretty simple usually 3 or 4 connections and 6-8 screws. Nothing to technical, just take a snapshot of the board connections before you remove the plugs and check your picture before you close up the TV. If this is warranty work service call is usually comped.
