Picture is wavy and has black vertical and horizontal band

After the TV has been on for about 30 minutes the picture is reduced and is wavy. It seems to move to the left as you cant see all of the captions or scores, if you are watching a game. the right side will be black and sometimes a black band at the top and bottom

is that wavy in vertical motion? and bending?  in that case maybe you have low voltage in your power inlet! or can you specify the color of wave and motion, if horizontal or vertical?

Samsung plasma HPR4272 that had a 4" black vertical line on

There are at least two issues here. First you have bad buffer boards. Second Very possibly a bad X-Main bd and P-Logic bds. Have a trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.

Mitsubishi VS-45607 45" Big Screen

Good Day, Delano1981;

It may cure the problem but I would suspect the 9 Volt source
CHECK C2P05 100 UFD 16 V OFF PIN 3 OF IC2P01 AND
IC2P01 PART # 270P466020 (9-VOLT REGULATOR). BOTH
ARE ON THE SIGNAL PCB.

This should resolve your TV"s condition.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

Picture is now a thin horizontal line

now only visible in a thin horizontal line. first of all you reduce brightness to monimum. it just to protect your tv from crt demage. your problem is in horizontal output section as you have mentioned that week or so ago the right and left bottom edges of the picture began to move in like a sideways triangle filled with black so this sympton is due to hor. section problem. your flyback transformer or horizontal output might be defective. but remember check for power supply is ok from surge protector hope this will help.

Wavy Screen on Startup

I gather from your post that wavy can mean two possible things as the TV comes on, you see the picture flow like ocean waves? In this case you may have 60Hz hum modulating with the picture, this is actually unlikely these days, but I have heard it happens sometimes. The other thing it could be is light horizontal tearing. This happens when the horizontal frequency is too high or too low. You are not going to like my solution because I feel that for problems like this the set must be analyzed not just subjected to "shotgun troubleshooting", so here I go, Take the TV to a repair shop.
