Yes, it is normal for the fan to run when the trigger is pulled. Does the fan start when you depress the nose?
If not, it most likely is a bent contact element, or a bad head switch.

Fire blade pasload pin gun doesn't punch the nail in

I'm assuming you've adjusted the depth gauge and this has had no affect? If so you need to do a full service before anything else. That's replacing both upper and lower o rings and give it a good clean. It sounds like your losing compression.

Pasload finish nailer

Which model do you have?
Does the fan run when the nose is depressed, or just when the trigger is pulled? If not - check the head switch.
Are you positive your fuel is good? Just because it feels full or you just bought it doesn't mean its good - check the date stamped on the bottom of the cylinder.
It can also be a bent probe (the part that contacts the work) - if it is bent it won't allow the cylinder to travel far enough to make the head switch.

I have a paslode model IM250II 16 ga straight finish nailer that I bought used the gun fan and motor runs whin the trigger is pulled but it does not fire when the tip is pressed no pop no puff nothing I...

Fan running when trigger pressed is normal however to make it fire you need to press on the work probe first and the fan should start running, at this point the gas should be injected and pressing the trigger should create the spark to fire the gun, if all works as above but the gun won't fire check the gas, the metering valve on the can should have a yellow ring and when pressing the can nozzle on a hard surface, gas should be released, if not the can either has (a) insufficient gas, (b) the nozzle is not correctly fitted (c) the metering valve is faulty, if the can emits gas the gun will need to be checked for spark and the seals will need checking

Paslode im 250 the fan goes on but it does not fire when depressed. I have tried a new gas cylinder

Make sure the battery is charged - it will not provide good combustion.

Next - make sure the plunger is fully depressed - there is an adjustment on the side.

Finally - check for proper operation of the trigger.

Not firing, when press trigger fan isn't moving

Make sure your battery is charged.
You also have to press the gun down to the board to activate it.
