If it is a gas bulb (mercury vapor, metal halide, or high pressure sodium) the bulb needs to be replaced. they "cycle" when they go bad for a few weeks then completely stop working

well it has to be the ballast, make sure you have the right kind of bulb wattage.

I have a screwball electrical wiring issue. I have 2 wires coming into a box with 3 conductors each, the box has 1 receptacle and one switch in it. The wiring is as such wire 1 comes from the pane and goes...

This is what I think is going on.
Pull the bathroom light and verify that there is only one wire going to it. I'm betting that it only has one 3cond and that it's the second one in your j-box.
Connect the 3cond from the circuit breaker to the GFI.
Pull a single black wire from the GFI over to the switch. The black in the 3cond to the light goes on the other side of the switch. White from the light goes to white on the GFI.
What the electrician did is power the light from the receptacle box.
I'd like to know if this corrects the problem and everything works.

I have an LG refrigerator freezer model number GR-S392GC that keeps tripping the power box. I plugged the fridge into another source but it kept shorting out. I isolated the issue to the harness wire...

the concept for a DRYER is the same for a washer or fridge in some instances

The key to this problem is what the amp draw of the washer is when the house breaker trips.

To narrow this problem down, there are three places that could be causing the ( outlet) GFCI to trip, a malfunction in the washing machine, a problem with the downstream wiring (aka load side of the GFCI-other items connected on same circuit), or the GFCI outlet itself. If there isn't anything downstream, then plugging the washing machine into another GFCI outlet, or simply swapping out the outlet for a known good GFCI outlet, will identify if the outlet itself is faulty.
If the outlet trips when the washing machine isn't running and isn't even plugged in, then there's a fault in the wiring on the load side of the GFCI outlet.
If the issue is neither of the above, then running the washing machine and monitoring to see which step is occurring when the trip happens will isolate what part of the washing machine may be leaking current to a ground. It could be a certain water level, a motor being engaged, a transition step in the controller, etc
Beware some techs believe that most Washing machines or any other motor should not be on a GFCI! Should be a dedicated single receptacle. If there are other outlets on the washer GFCI, replace that GFCI with a single receptacle and put the GFCI on the next jump in order to protect other outlets.

Another item to check is ur lid switch which may have gotten moister inside and created a short_ or broken open and the rubber seal dried out over time, and the switch assembly will be exposed. water can splash onto the assembly, somehow causing the GFCI to trip. In any event, if you are having trouble with your washing machine stopping mid-cycle for any reason, test and replacing the lid switchis probably a worthwhile idea, as it is cheap and easy to replace.

Had bad receptacle caused GFCI on ac window unit to trip fixed receptacle but GFCI wont reset or test do you have to replace cord on ac

If the GFCI won't reset , replace it. Make sure you have the new receptacle wired correctly before you do that.

I have 2 gfi outdoor outlet with orange lights on and cannot reset

GFCI is designed to detect ground faults, and will not reset if ground fault is detected, or if device is bad.
Seems odd that both GFCIs will not reset unless both are outside.
If GFCI is outside, they get dirty and wet, and the GFCI goes bad.

If GFCI will not reset, open following links:

What does the orange light on my Leviton GFCI receptacle mean when the GFCI is not tripped and still has power?

Has indicator always been ON?
Or did it suddenly turn ON recently?

Usually small indicator lights show that device is working, and has power.
Then when GFCI trips, the light goes off.

Just tested gfci receptacle with sperry gfci outlet tester and got all three (red, yellow, yellow) lights. What does this mean??

Your tester is defective then. All 3 lights should not light up. The correct wiring would be 2 yellow, no red.

Sodium security blinks on and off all night , has replace bulb and works for about a year. then the blinking starts back

is there another light in the vacinity or is the light in question itself pointed at the photocell. most likely scenarios are that the light is pointing at its own photocell so when it is off the photosell senses dark and turns it on but then when light comes on tricks photocell into thinking it is daylight, check position of photocell and adjust away from light source if problem persist could be ballast going bad

Hobart 20 QT. mixer (HL 200) will not operate on a GFCI receptacle.

you need to replace the gfci, the older gfci's interpret these frequencies as a shock hazard and shut off power to the circuit.you can buy @hobart, part#913053, that should solve the trip problem. dont forget to vote thanks monomoy
