I would change the battery first. Then try adjusting the temperature to see if that has any affect. From here I would guess the temp sensing thermistor is open or short, causing it to indicate the extreme temperature of it's capability. Test the thermistor and replace, or replacing the thermostat are the only solutions. I hope this helps.
when you adjust the tempreture dial for the refrigerator this would turn on the evaporator fan motor located behind the rear wall of the freezer click this link http://c.searspartsdirect.com/lis_png/PLDM/00052094-00007.png part number 17 on the schematic would be the panel that you would remove when you remove this panel this would give you access to the evaporator coil as well as the evaporator fan motor if the fan is not spinning then you would replace the evaporator fan motor. If you see any ice build up on the evaporator coil or the fan motor or blocking the drain located under the evaporator coil this is termed as a defrost issue. If you find this then message me back and I will give further instruction on how to diagnose why your unit is haveing a defrost issue. The freezer is the only area that produces cold in a refrigerator. The evaporator fan motor blows the cold air through a small damper door that opens and closes depending on the tempreture inside the refrigerator. The first thing to check is the fan motor that is behind the panel that I mentioned. If you remove the panel and find that the fan is blowing and spinning message me back for further diagnosis. I await your reply Thank you Rick P.s what is the tempreture inside the freezer currently?
Hello,
Usually the F-03 error code means you have a bad oven tempreture sensor. To test the tempreture sensor you would use a multimeter set to ohms. At room tempreture the sensor should read between 1000-1100 ohms any less then this and you would replace the oven tempreture sensor in the unit. If you have any further questions message me back. Please also remember when our chat has fully concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation it allows me to continue helping others in similar situations in the future. Thanks
Rick
p.s I also looked afterwards in your service manual and the F-03 error code does refer to the oven tempreture sensor
check for the tempreture adjustment knob in the refrigerator section as it might accidently have been turn to extreme high ...setting the refrigerator tempreture to very low can cause this problem in the frezer section try turning the knob to medium or tempreture according to the outside tempreture....
tempreture inside freezer should be at 0 inside fridge would be 38 these are both optimum tempretures if you just received delivery there is no sense in you researching how to fix or taking anything apart it is warrantied and if you were to try to fix the unit you would void your warranty best thing to do is call them monday morning Thanks again Rick

check the oven tempreture sensor do an ohms test on it at room tempreture should be reading 1100 ohms if it were less then you would replace the sensor if the sensor is at or around 1100 message me back there are a couple other things that you could also check thanks again
Rick
I have seen Garland's have issues with the pilot light. see if you can watch the cycle. It may takes several minutes. I have seen where the pilot actually lifts off the pilot assembly and go out and cause oven to fail. Turning off and on resets the failure and sometimes it will light. Start there and be patient.
