Two fans mounted close. Remote operates both at same time

Try using the remote much closer to one of the units at a time. If that doesn’t work you’ll have to do it manually or get a different brand for one fan.

Casa vieja fan will not sync to remote

Ah, I forgot about synching. The remote and the fan head have small DIL switches that have to be set the same settings. They do this so you can have multiple fans in your home and you can turn them on and off independently, or in a large lofted living area, you could have two that work together.

I have two fans that are the same. The switches are on back to back walls and each remote controls both fans. I want them to control each fan independently. What do I do?

depending on the model, you should be able o change the receiver and remote codes differently than the other one. go and look online for your fan installation instructions and follow them google is an excellent search engine

Have 3 hunter ceiling fans and one remote control with 3 buttons. trying to turn on any one fan turns on all three. How can this be corrected?

You need two other remotes. There should be "dip switches" inside each remote behind the batteries, that correspond with dip switches inside the fans themselves. Match them and each will work independently.

2 different models ceiling fans, the remote operates both fans same time. What do I do

In my previous residence, the next door neighbors' remote controlled my fan and its light as well....

I use simpler pull cord fans solely these days. As for dimming (remote or wall switch), LED likely saves the day where fluorescent fails....

Hampton bay ceiling fan stopped lights work

you can test the light switch by temporarily hooking up the light bulb to where the fan normally goes ....the bulb will only work on the highest speed setting but can prove if the switch is bad or not . turn power off before woking in there ... if you know someone with a volt meter then they could quickly test the switch for you .. they can also test the motor for continuity .. .. most of the time the trouble is simply bad connections inside the wire nuts ... like insulation not skinned properly or wire not in the wire nut properly ..you can remove and inspect each connection (power off of course) ... sometimes there is a seperate power line for the fan and light ... so they can be independently controlled externally ... thats not needed when the pull chains are the only off on method ...

Two ceiling fans, both remotes control the same fan

Most likely the dip switches on the remote receivers don't match (on the second fan, the one that doesn't work). While the remote dip swithes on both remotes match the working fan. You can simply reset the dip switches on the second fan receiver to match the one working remote, i.e. you don't need to have a second remote, one can work both fans as long as the codes (dip switches match). If you want you can make all the remotes the same, that way you have two remotes, or if you want them independent each remote and remote receiver must have unique codes (dip switch settings).
