Ipod a1121 I was wondering is there something that I can attach to this speaker (some kind of Wi-Fi adapter) that I can place music through it from my PC or ipad. In other words can I network music through this speaker without having to mount my ipod or iphone?

SOURCE: Logitech Pure-Fi Elite Speaker System

Hi,
Two things,
1. You get static charged , from your surrounding ,ie the couch or bed you are sitting in or the the chair you are one before you go and disconnect the ipod.
2. The Logitech is not properly grounded. Check for missing rubber pads below. Also check the earthing at the wallsocket where it is connected

Thanks

SOURCE: APPLE iPod HiFi Speakers A1121

Forget other comments - the front is simply a glued-on black metal plate. No screws. No plugs. No obvious way in. If you use a screwdriver you can lever the 1mm thick black plate off the front of the unit to access the screws. Remove the middle speaker first & unclip from main housing. Take a good look & memorise the clip positions as there are lots and it's quite a job getting them all back again! Good luck. Great stereo.

SOURCE: I have an Apple iPod

I can help you troubleshoot your A1121 iPOD docking station.

First of all, can you confirm that your iPOD is seating correctly and securely in the docking port?

For example, when the + or - buttons are pressed on the top, does the green light on the front blink, eventually going red after several pushes?
& Is there any indication that the unit is controlling your iPOD, but simply not outputting sound?

Password for wifi 2wire17

The iPod changed the face of the music industry.
Through Apple's device, the use of MP3 music players became a widespread phenomenon, and remains the standard mode of mobile musical enjoyment today.
Its interface was easy to learn and use, and you could store several gigabytes' worth of songs into the device.
Eventually, as new iPod models came out, mobile movie and picture viewing became much more accessible.
With the release of the iPod Touch, another feature was introduced--the ability to connect to wireless Internet.
If you own a 3rd Generation iPod Touch, it's easy to get your Wi-Fi working.
Go to "Settings" and find the Wi-Fi selection. Turn Wi-Fi on.
Wait as the Wi-Fi will detect possible networks connections within range.
Look for the network you wish to connect to and press it.
If it's not on the list, go to "Wi-Fi," select "Other" and type the name of the network.

If a password is required, click on the "Security" option, select the type of security, enter the password and press "Join."
You may have to pay a fee before you can establish a connection to a secured network.

Press the arrow button beside the name of the network to adjust the settings.
The network may have other requirements such as entering a client ID or static IP address.
The network administrator should be approached for these details.

Monitor the Wi-Fi icon at the top of the screen.
The more bars that are highlighted, the stronger the signal.
Get closer for a stronger signal.

What does the little electrical bolt symbol mean?

this is obviously a power or connectivity issue, check that the device ( your ipod ) is correctly seated into the logitech speaker system, and check the power cables are connected according to the manual which came with the logitech speaker system.
question u may ask yourself? - does the ipod work as it should on its own? (without non-apple devices/components attached to it) - if it doesnt - take to an apple store or call or seek apple support.
it sounds like your ipod is low on power from source.
i hope this directs you in the right direction, party on!

Can i setup these up outside of a computer and just plug them into a wall ?

It should be possible as long as you can find an adapter to attach them to your ipod.
