This is almost certainly a bad monitor and needs to be replaced, I wouldn't even troubleshoot it really. Basically half the screen matrix isn't getting any power most likely.
Some things you can troubleshoot if so inclined.

  • Hook the monitor to another computer (to rule out the current computer as a problem)
  • Replace the DVI cable (to rule out cable) although bad cables will typically cause color lose rather than part of the screen to be missing
Comment back if you need anything else.

yer check the manual, that will tell you the right model of the remote...you can get the manual by typing the the full make & model of the TV in google followed by PDF on the end.

I have a Hannspree ST42DMSB 42 in LCD TV and an intermittent problem with picture - these whie interfrence lines appear from time to time. I've been in touch with Hannspree and thier tech support
It is going to have to go to a service center for repair or replacement of a board or boards---if the reset did not fix it then it has a fault.

you need to open up your remote. dust off any particle for the board. clean up the edges for any accumulated dust. lastly check the rubber for any signs of crack.

Where can you purchase a new power supply for a hannspree 32" JT01-32-U1-000G?
try a search engine by the card code. You cannot find it by the tv model because the same card can be used in many brands and models. Open the tv inside and read the power board model or serial etc. write down everything and start google. Perform a perseverent search. :)

Brand new Hannspree 28" tv when you switch it on screen just changes colour white to red all colours and nothing else
Get rid of this model!!!! The Hannspree and Toshiba models used a TFT LCD screen from a chinese manufacturer that has put out faulty components for the last 3 years. The Problem is in the way the Active Matrix Screen was manufactured. I would recommend you return this item immediately to the place where you purchased it and pick a different brand; also stay away from Westinghouse!
