My ph is a motorola K1. I have tried that and it still won't go to particular letter or even anyone starting with that letter. Thanks for trying to help. Appreciated!

    Fiddlesticks here.
In Address Book, Set Up option, does anyone know how to change the Sort Order from Mixed to Stroke Sequence?
I can change it to stroke sequence, by placing a tick next to it but when I select change, it doesn't save it. Silly phone...Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I set up all mine from within the address book and didn't have any problems. The picture comes up fine when they call and it is saved in the address book, too.

How do I change the address book names?

I do. It's done either from the maintenance console, or the phone connected to (usually) port 1. Speed call numbers reside in system program 001 and the names in 002. Your installer/engineer shold have showed somebody how to program system features. It sort of sets up like a cell phone.

Here's a set of instructions. Follow from the manager's area on page 177. http://www.public.carl.airpost.net/Pana/TDA/200_TDA_OM_06-121.pdf

I started using Mac Mail today, moving from Entourage 11.4.0 to Mac Mail 1.3.11. I want to get my addresses across but have had no luck so far. I have hovered mouse over the email address and selected...

I think you mean adding email address to your account (importing email address), If you've set up the account properly, then there's not much difficultly, just follow the instructions below 1. Open the Address Book application. 2. Choose Import from the File menu. 3. Navigate to the file that you exported from your previous application and select it from the list of files. Tip: if you cannot select the file, the 4. Open button will not pulsate. This may indicate that the file is not in a format that Address Book can read. 5. Click Open. Your addresses (contacts) are now available for use in Address Book and all Mac OS X applications that work with Address Book.
On the other hand if you are importing addresses from previous version, the procedure is little different. Do let me know if you can't do with this. Good luck

Invalid book address

Hi,
this is to do with settings in Nero.
The book-Type is settings For CD/DVD et,c.
The actual Format the disk has to be written in. If you,ve got the book-type set to write a CD for example, and burned a DVD. it would error as it needs to write more data, than the Disk Allows.
CD 650mb. DVD 4370 mb or equivalent.
I,d uninstall-re-install nero, and ensure you select your type of disk to Compile. Which will automatically select The Correct Book-Type for The compilation required.

Contact Number

Hi, You can import phone data from a Subscriber Identity Module (SIM) card to the address book application on your BlackBerry smartphone.
Contacts in the address book can be saved to the SIM card individually. You cannot import data from the address book to the SIM card.
To import a single contact, complete the following steps:
1)On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open the Address Book.
2) Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded.
3) Select the contact you want to import, then select Add to Address Book.
4) In the New Address screen, add any additional information.
Import all contacts, complete the following steps:
1) On the BlackBerry smartphone Home screen, open the Address Book.
2) Display the menu and select SIM Phone Book. The SIM phone book is loaded.
3) Display the menu and select Copy All To Address Book.
4) Go back to the Address Book and make sure all the entries are displayed.
After adding information to ddress book you can able to veiw contact list, I hope this information will be helpfull.

Syncing new address book

i had to read your last post to get some idea as to what was going on. This is a solution sort of but you need to ask what yourself what do you mean by sync? Do you want the contents of both address books to be the same but not update when you make a change on one or the other. Or do you want your address books to update each other when you make a change in either one. That is something you have to decide. For the first option you can open your address book from the dock and select all of your contacts. Then you want to go to the file menu and chose export and then chose v card. This option will place a card for each contact in a folder of your choice. This option is the best if you are moving info to a windows pc as well.

The second option is easier but has two choices for you two pick. if you want both of your address books to be the same at all times you need to connect your address book to an in between system. there are two you can choose from, one is mobile me an apple product which does more than just adress book sync but comes with a fee. there is also a site called plaxo.com which also does address book and calendar sync for a mac only.

I hope that helps fix your issue

Motorola K1 Address book alphabetisation

Do you have your address book sorted by first or last name, first/last and name/picture are the only options I have.  but when I open the address book, I can type names to jump to, one letter at a time, just like typing in a name... like 3332777555 for 'carl'.

Phone Book Not Alpahbetical

Here is the link to the user manual if you need it; http://us.sanyo.com/wireless/handsets/downloads/MM-8300UsersGuide.pdf (Sorry is the US version, hopefully the bits we are dealing with are the same) Check page 53 of the pdf (page 37 of the manual), the numbers should automatically alphabetise, there is no setting to change. you can store up to 300 contacts, so possibly if you have exceeded this limit, the others are being stored in another part of the memory. If so the only solution is to thin your phone book out a bit. Check page 161 of the pdf (145 of the manual) for info on updating your phone, try this in case it is a software bug that has been fixed by an update. (even if updated recently, try again, the latest update could have caused the problem). Check page 106 of the pdf(90 of the manual) and try the reset - this doesn't delete the contact list, so is probably worth a try, but fairly unlikely to make any difference. Here's the link for the troubleshooting guide from sanyo; http://support.sprint.com/main.html?&selectedDeviceId=5712&manufacturer=Sanyo I couldn't find anything else in there but you might have more luck. If you need to contact sanyo direct, your closest is in NSW; http://www.sanyo.com.au/ They may be able to tell you something not in any of the documentation, and where to get it serviced if required. If you connect the phone to a pc and have the phone book synchronised with something on the pc (MS outlook or similar), then you may be able to swap them around from there. I searched a lot and couldn't find anyone else with the same problem. Hope this helps :)
