Precor Error 01, Memory, RAM, EEPROM Test Error Probable Cause This error message almost always indicate an upper PCA problem when they are consistently displayed. Failures causing this error message to be displayed are rare.
Corrective Action If the error message is consistently displayed when the unit is powered up, the upper PCA should be replaced. It is possible to see this message displayed intermittently due to external causes. If the units A.C. input significantly dips during the power up test sequence the test could fail resulting in this message being displayed. 2. Drive motor is shorted or de-magnetized causing a high power demand.
Corrective Action

1. Check the amp draw using a clamp on AC volt-amp meter during loaded and no load conditions and compare values to a similar treadmill that is known to have a good running belt and deck. Replace the belt and/or deck if necessary. Don't forget, some units have a double sided deck which means it may be flipped over rather than replaced if it has an unused side.
2. Test unit with a known good drive motor. Replace drive motor if necessary.

Precor Error Code 03 E03 EEPROM Test Error

Precor Error LS, Speed Sensor Signal Missing Probable Cause 1. Intermittent or open connection of the speed sensor (reed switch) wiring.
2. Reed switch is defective or has intermittent connection.
3. Drive motor brushes are bad.
4. Lower PCA is bad.
Corrective Action

1. Inspect the speed sensor (reed switch) wiring for damage or poor connection to the lower PCA. Replace damaged wiring or reset connection as necessary.
2. Using an ohm meter, test the reed switch while rotating the drive pulley. The reed switch will close when the magnet passes in front of it.
3. Inspect the drive motor brushes and replace if necessary.
4. Test unit with a known good lower PCA. Replace lower PCA if nec

Precor Error Code LS

There is a micro switch under the red "Stop" button. The switch is stuck and needs to be replaced.
