Want to upgrade mother board on a6700f. any suggestions?

1st , is the memory correct for your HP , can it be upgraded , because if its the wrong memory chip that would cause your screen to be blank , as far as your power supply that should not cause that problem ...........the only way to find out is to reinstall your old memory chips and see if your system works,,,,,,,,,,,,,let me know .......................Roy

Which RAM is suitable for Intel presscott 533 motherboard for upgradation

The Mother board only supports DDR1 333mhz or 400mhz
Maximum size of memory the board can read is 2gb in total


I would suggest upgrading to at least a DDR2 Motherboard

You don't have to change or replace your motherboard ..

just go to toshiba website........select your model by its serial No. and download the all available Drivers like Sound, Video, bios, management etc.....

install all these Drivers on your Laptop......... your motherboard will be up-to-date.

Upgrading Processor

You can not put a dual core processor in there because the board will not support it. However, you are able to place any socket 478 pentium 4 processor in there. Let me know if this helps.
