Sounds strange, since I don't think that the HQ5 heads in the shaver have the pointy parts that other shaver heads have. If your comb has 2 pointy edges, make sure they are located correctly in the head housing - they will need to be located inwards, with the the spindle that the retaining bracket attaches to in the center of the the two pointy parts.

But apart from placing the combs in first, locating the cutters in then putting the retaining bracket in (which may be broken if it won't fasten properly) I'm not sure what you can do, other than calling your local Philips Service Centre,

How to reassemble blades on wahl stable pro 8800

Do you have more parts in your hand than 2x screws and 2x blade parts? If no then pop the small cutter blade onto the plastic blade drive with the drive engaged into the diamond shaped hole in the cutter blade. Make sure you put the cutter blade on with the teeth facing forwards and the correct way up. The top side (goes towards clipper) is pretty much flat except where teeth taper. Next lubricate the small cutter where it is going to touch the large comb blade when you fit it. Now put the comb blade on and fit the 2 screws. Line up the blades & tighten the screws.

Norelco repair

The blade assembly just pulls straight up and it will unsnap. Replacement can be found at shaveroutlet.com here:

My shaving head came apart and I can not re assemble it, kindly give me instructions

Wife cleaned bathroom shelf dropping the Arcitec. One of 3 heads was not aligned properly, when I tried to re-seat it, this head came apart. To put it back together takes some finesse and patience. Take a coil of stamps, or some other small opening to rest the outer plastic shell head, then insert the metal screen which has notches (2 small, 1 large) and fit it in the plastic shell head. Next put the metal blade assembly on the screen. Next align this on the metal (thin) pivot. When the outer plastic head, and the metal pivot are aligned (small peg holes), you can place the thin inner plastic piece on and gently press your sub assembly and the backing plastic together, It will snap together and hold. Don't FORCE it, the holes must be aligned on the outer plastic, the metal pivot frame, with blades resting on the screen. It does snap together. Work with fairly bright light to see what you are doing. If this fails, invest in a new head assembly for about 15% of the cost of the whole razor.

Oster clippers blade

John! No Problem!
First put the bigger of the two blades witht the size/number facing down, put the cutter on top. (with the side with the flat side of the teeth facing down) Then put the tongue guide inside the tension spring, make sure the tension spring rail is on the tension rail and place them on top of the cutter. To see which bits these are go to: http://www.sheareaseltd.com/clipper-blade-sharpening/clipper-blades-the-parts
This picture whows the front and back, it differs slightly from your blade, but its same meat different gravy!

Hold all this together with your finger and thumb, flip it over and scre the whole lot together!
