I have an Unlocked HTC Viva, but the chip I use is Mexico-Telcel prepaid, NOT in plan, I tought that when the wifi is in use there is like a free of charge all you surf. But, all the time the phone makes a GPRS connection to my network and if I don't have money left in the prepaid card.. there comes an error like "There is an error trying to the GPRS service in your registered home network ". Is getting confuse... Why the system does that?? is that the way the HTC phones works in the wifi mode>?? I'd appreciate support ASAP... Thanks! Olvert!
This phone is Not G3 and the network we use is GSM 1900MHz
Hello, wifi is a sort of WLAN conection. you need a wireless router to be able to use wifi. there are two ways to connect to the internet on the touch viva. 1st way is by the sim card and that costs you a lot of money!!! the other way is by a wlan router, you can access to the internet as long as you want is you have a flatrate. My good tipp: switch off the gprs connection, it will only cost you a lot of money. you will still be able to make phone calls. Ilost about 60$ (i mean it!) by trying to access to the internet by gprs.
