I can download audio onto the tag (according to the computer it's all synched) but the audio is not able to be played on the tag. Downloaded 2 new stories - Princess Stories and Olivia. Olivia doesn't work, and I have trialled other stories we don't have the books for and these aren't recognised either.

Just got this from LeapFrog. Worked for me, although it toook a couple of attempts.
For Macs:

Please try downloading and running this tool and connect the Tag Reader when prompted:

For Windows machines:

1. Close the LeapFrog Connect application.
2. Double-click on this link http://lfccontent.leapfrog.com/cs/tools/LeapFrogTagFixTool.exe then click "Run."
3. Click "Unzip" to extract the files.
(You will be asked for a location to save the files. Save them to your Desktop or to another folder that you can easily find.)
4. After the files are extracted, find the "LeapFrogTagFixTool" folder on your Desktop (or where you saved the extracted files).
5. Open the folder and double-click the "TagFixTool.exe" file to open the LeapFrog Tag Repair Utility program.
6. Connect your Tag Reader to the computer. (Make sure your toy is powered on.)
7. To start the repair process, click the "Click once to fix your Tag Reader or Tag Junior" button.
8. Once the repair process is complete, follow steps printed on the screen to close the program and open LeapFrog Connect.

Download or rip music onto your computer using iTunes , then hook up your shuffle to the computer using your USB cord and use iTunes to sync music onto the MP3 player.

You have to delete the affected Audiobooks off the player, then go into Windows Media Player, right-click one chapter at a time, select "Advanced Tag Editor" and manually assign a track number to each chapter -in order.
Then you can reload the audiobook onto the GoGear.

Change the Rip settings in Windows Media Player to convert the CD to mp3 format and then re-synch it - it will work. WMP probably synched it as a raw CDA, which the Sansa cannot recognize.

Load the Philips software onto your computer. You have to load the songs onto the player using WMP (Windows Media Player) 8 or 9. Connect the player using the USB cable. Run the Philips Go Gear Digital Audio Player software. Upgrade the firmware. This will format the player and erase everything you have done so far. Start WMP. Click on the Synch tab.It will have 2 window panes. In the right side, at the top, there is a drop list. Select the player from the list. Now create a synch list by clicking on edit playlist.
