Can't hear caller

Can't hear the caller unless the speakerphone is turned on. Tried turning the phone off and back on, but it still happens. The person calling can hear me just fine.

The earpiece speaker has gone bad. Unless you have access to a replacement speaker and can solder you will have to take the phone to you nearest Motorola service center.

That happened to me. you may have inadvertently turned the volume down while you were on a call. when the phone is not on a call and you turn up the volume, you are turning up the volume of the ringtone. when you're on a call and you turn up the volume, you are turning up the audio (what you hear). this happened to me so i went to cingular and they called my phone; while we were on the line, the guy turned up the volume on my phone and i could hear again.

Can only use speakerphone to hear caller's voice on my iPhone

It's usually caused by a defective or dislodged electronic module that sits behind the ear speaker, this should be covered under warranty unless there are visible marks of the drop. If you're not covered, you can try a iphone repair guide websites, there are also places that sell iphone parts.
